I got something from ebay, which I expected to be a WYSE OEM terminal keyboard. Since I was the only bidder, I thought I'm fine whatever it would be.

It looks unused and in great condition. For some reason I didn't take pictures of the board before I took it apart, but If someone is interested I can do that.

Especially the keycaps look and feel so nice, I was sad after pulling one. Neither MX nor Alps mount
It is a NMB slider over dome. Basically http://deskthority.net/wiki/Digital_RT102 but in clean, unused condition.
Unlike the AppleDesign Keyboard its domes are dark green, not yellow. They feel very consistent between keys and not that awful, but not mech either. I really like the legends. My pictures don't do them justice. They are sharp, high contrast and absolutely flat on the caps. I wonder if they are dyesub or just really good pad printed.
Also the plastic structure on the top side of the keycaps has a very nice feel. Finer grained than cherry keycaps. I would expect them to be shiny really soon if they are made of ABS.
F, J and 5 are deep dished and nubbed.

Definately a NMB OEM. I think this is the exact same board as the Digital RT102 on the wiki, but branded Qume.

On a side note it looks like you also got yourself a nice Topre set. If these are the same they do fit Topre, they don't mount as firmly as the real deal.

Oh yeah, I need to write up my own experience with a nice set of caps someone gave me a while ago with that mount. Their fit on the HHKB is… "not as firm" indeed!

Call it an "advanced wobble" if you like. I need to dig out my set and see if there's anything that can be done on the cap itself to improve the mount. A shame really.

If only a tool would exist, that can transform (using heat or whatever) a Cherry MX keycap stem to a Topre one ...

That's a long shot but you know Mu has his famous "adapters". What was it again, Alps mount to MX? I clearly remember those Monterey K110/ SIIG MiniTouch pictures.

I've found _SO MANY_ NMB dome with slider keyboards, but never one with black sliders =o . As I recall I've found them with dark green, light green, yellow and dark blue domes. They're fairly decent IMO, definitely better than most rubber domes.

As to how they feel, it is really not bad. Uniform tactility into a soft bottom.
These are not like the trapdoor into hard landing rubberdomes.
I wonder if the Apple Design Keyboard feels the same. Since a lot of people think they are so much inferior to AEKII.

That said, I won't convert this thing, so I won't be able to tell how it feels when you actually use it

Edit: http://deskthority.net/keyboards-f2/how ... t2288.html has the Digital keyboard again. From the looks I would say it is the same board with a different brandname. huttala identified the plastic as ABS though. He also has better pictures than me.
