I'm getting a new camera tomorrow, so pretty soon I'll be able to post pics with a *real* camera. Might take me a while to actually not be incompetent with it though...

Still a few backlog albums to post though. Like this Soviet keyboard/computer...with the computer part torn out of it

Uses a pretty typical magnetic reed switch design used in Soviet era keyboards with a ring shaped magnet (i.e. I have a bunch keyboards with them).

Yes, that's what the keys look like even after cleaning. I think some sort of alcohol (vodka? ) got on the keys during class or something.

Uses engraved/infilled lettering.

Springs are bit corroded, though the mechanism still works reasonably well.

No idea what this says...

Sadly, not much inside...

Interesting PCB colouring though.

What did you end up getting for a camera? I was going to recommend a used Nikon D600.

I ended up getting a Sony a6000. Starting to get used to it, though I quickly discovered I needed a macro lense too which should be coming early next week.

Great camera. If you use the zoom macro lens 50~120mm could be better to shot the smaller stuffs.
The prime lens should get the better quality but not necessary to make the record for keyboard stuffs.
Looking for your keyboard test with HD video which used for this camera.
