Copy and paste from geekhack.
This is a UK GB as it is from one of the two UK suppliers. This is from the Grosvenor Group and they have said they can do a 10% discount for the purchase of 10 stations. However, these are still quite pricey. The price I was given was £94.95 + VAT. With the 10% discount the price is looking to be £101.52. I believe this is the cheapest option in the UK. This is not including shipping so it will be slightly more.
But if there are less than 10 people than I don't see this being worthwhile. I just keep coming back to this station.

What's so different between that model and this one?

Possibly nothing. I will look closer but that does look like a proper hakko.

its a shame they got rid of the analog model , the digital display adds a layer of complexity thats not needed

Do you have much experience with these?

not with the digital one no. I have used the older analoug one and i have a clone.

I just don't like added crap thats not needed :P

I mean think about it , the display needs an IC to drive it , there needs to be a micro to convert the up and down temp controls into what i am assuming is some sort of PWM.

or

you could just have a pot :P

EDIT

All that said , its a hakko , it will be built very well.

I still haven't received an answer about what plug that one has. But the one from the Grosvner Group does have a UK plug. But I am not sure if that is worth the price difference.
