Hey, I am just wondering how many people we could get to buy this. It is a universal TKL plate, that comes with a back, so it makes a JD40 style of a case. There are two options i could use. A local place, called incodema, or Big Blue Saw. Big Blue Saw is cheaper for the single plate, but if there are more orders i could try and talk the price down. For Big Blue Saw, it would be Stainless Steel T-304, and for incodema all they said was Stainless Steel. Leave a comment below if you are sure if you are interested and can commit completely.

Ok, now for Big Blue Saw pricing.

1-4 orders (w/ shipping) $115 in the US, $122 out of US.

5-9 orders (w/ shipping) $70 in the US, $77 out of US.

10-49 orders (w/ shipping) $67 in the US, $74 out of US.

50-99 orders (w/ shipping) $64 in the US, $71 out of US.

If incodema can match the Big Blue Saw prices, then ALL ORDERS WILL BE LOWERED 5 DOLLARS! This is not for money, and is to make plates for custom keyboards, or transfering a filco into a nicer case cheaper for all! Thank you so much Joey Quinn for modeling this plate!

Be aware that with universal layout plates like that, you have to use a PCB with support for PCB-mount stabilizers. Because there is no place on the plate for a plate mounted (Cherry or Costar) stabilizer to mount to. It's just a large hole, which allows the PCB-mount stabilizer to pass through.

It shouldn't flex if it's made out of ss or alu. Also I'd be happy to make more plate files if people want them. I'd say pm me on GH but seeing as that's down I guess a pm on here will work.

And no, it shouldn't flex if made out of stainless, at least.

Aluminium at 1.5mm is flexible enough to cause trouble in a PCB-less TKL.
Stainless is way more stiff, minimal bending.

I have a question though.
This is a universal plate which requires PCB mount stabs yet is designed for the Phantom, but the Phantom has no support for PCB mount stabs...so what's the point? Are there alternatives to the Phantom with PCB stab support?

That would not be possible, because it would have to be a separate buy from Big Blue. The thickness of the stainless will be 0,06 inches, so it shouldnt flex.


EDIT: just saw Joeys comment on this, so maybe! It might just change to an ANSI 150 so Stabs will be possible...

Also, if you want the switches and stabilizers to clip onto the plate, you'll want to use 1.5mm thickness material.

Oh, I goofed my wording up there. i meant to say 0.06 inches. Whoops.

support for plate stabs would be very desirable, i don't have a phantom pcb, and I don't think it is easy to get one, but i would be very interested in handwiring a case like that!

working on it! This might change to an ANSI 150 GB, or somehow make support for plate stabs! its like 30 dollars for a phantom pcb from mechanical keyboards btw.

They need to get their shipping together...Shipping for a keypuller is 30$...
When I got my Phantom it was 9.99$ shipping, but it must have been a glitch.

maybe the glitch is now, 10 $ shipping would be fine by me and for a pcb it seems about right, and also, that keypuller must have been made of lead xD
