Problems with filco when connected with ps2 adapter

I bought a cheap ps2/usb adapter for my keyboard to get NKRO. Not that I needed it just thought it would be cool. But with it attached I am getting keys not regestering and every time I try to input a large number of keys at once it repeats the last key constantly until I hit another key a couple of times.
Is this becuase of a crap cheap £0.17 ps2 adapter or the keyboard?

Edit: It say microsoft on the side so that may explain it being crap.

That is what I bought. I just guessed it was passive.

That should work just fine.. Filco even ship with one..

There's a bug if you press an enormous number of keys, like 26 at a time you can lock up certain keys.

I don't recommend pressing 26 keys at a time.
