A centre legend PBT DCS GB would be quite distinctive!
Have you tried DCS spacebars, Mu? They are awfully sharp!
I actually have not! Only OEM profile Ducky PBT. What's the difference? And is that sharpness why so many people insist on turning them backwards?

Phew! Almost there now…

Re: grey and blue dysesubs, high contrast is a must. Red turned out well here, by the look of it, but when you're talking about a whole mod set, you want to be certain.

Yes, that is why they flip the spacebar.. well in some cases, some people are just weird that way even with OEM and Cherry profiled spacebars.
But there is a major difference between Cherry, DCS and OEM profile. DCS is not too different from Cherry in the rest of the rows but the bottom row is just stupid, it is as some say "razor-sharp". Compared to a Cherry key, the surface of a DCS is lower at the top, and taller at the bottom, making the angle of the edge much tighter.
OEM is less curved looking from the top to bottom row and is generally taller.

I hope these DSA keys will make me happy, because pursuing Cherry profiled key sets is not a cheap!

But if they asked me, I'd suggest opening a second round of orders on all the tipped kits. Granite's a very special GB, and boosting the numbers is a win for everyone really. I don't mind getting zero discount from what I've already paid. In fact I'd like a few more kits!
Can't 7bit handle a few with SEPA payments? Only reason I didn't buy any was due to Paypal.

A second round would be great. Not just for those who missed the entire gb, but for those too who would like to add some kits to their existing order. I for example really hate myself for not ordering an ergodox kit.

The idea with limited editions is nice in theory but only ends up with stupidly high prices in the aftersale market. I'd rather see this being commonly available than being used to make profit (excluding those of course who actually put time and effort into this set).

I'm really wondering how many kits would have been ordered if this GB were some months up, and stuff added all the time - like Round 5. I think it would skyrocket and go directly to the moon!

If there's a second run, i would totally love some CMYK mods :)

Okay, let me be clear about the "limited edition" thing.

I don't want people to think that there will be a new round every two months otherwise nobody would join the GB in the first place and tiers wouldn't be smashed.

So I'm not against a round 2/3/4/..., but definitely it's not something that is going to happen soon.

Those stupidly high prices are paid by us, so we the buyers are the responsible for them, not the limited editions per se.

Well, we the no-problem-with-cash-clients

Edit:

This attitude is exactly what I don't like about this community. They are only paid by those who can afford it. Those who can't pay 200 bucks for a set of keycaps will be left to watch some nice pictures in the classifieds.

Oh well I wrote it wrong, precisely I am the type of client that cannot afford these beautiful sets in the inflated aftermarket.

ok, we had some issues in file conversion due to a very strange (bug?) illustrator behavior... This is very unfortunate and I'm trying to solve this with Melissa as quickly as possible.

Don't worry, we're patient. Especially if we could add more kits to our orders (or even place new ones). Might be a good time to suggest this…

I still hope there will eventually a second round so I'll be able to add some options. DSA profile and the many additional sets make this the most versatile keyset I can think of. Until then I'm really excited to see and feel the finished product. Hope it gets as great as the teaser pictures suggest.

Believe me, if we could have this set (or any keycap set for that matter) at a price that would be affordable to all, we would. Problem is, custom everything costs money, this is not some you can blame on the community.

I think you didn't get it. This wasn't about the actual cost of the caps within the groupbuy.

I'm sorry I'm a bit lost. If there's something I can do better the next time, please let me know.

Round 2 is plausible, but not in the short term. I would prefer to run DSA Retro in SA family first to be honest.

Will it have the same ISO/Ñ/etc goodness as Granite? Count me in!

edit: you didn't do anything wrong under my eyes. I think the set is perfect and beautiful and prices are fair.

This wasn't about your work or the group buy. Prices were absolutely fair for this great set. And everyone appreciates the time and effort you put in.

It was about the fact that numerous members here and over at GH missed the GB entirely or wanted to add some sets to their order and that this already high demand will create stupid aftermarket prices. Just reopening the GB for some time would have solved this at least partially (no need to change or add anything to the GB in my opinion). I totally understand you won't communicate the possibility of a second round while the GB is running, I saw how slow some sets were selling in the first weeks.

At this stage it is not possible to add more orders because the keycaps are already manufactured (we just need to print them). The only way would be to run a second batch but of course I'd wait for the first to be delivered at least.

That makes sense. The circumstance that the Granite Set has the options to fit some of the weirdest keyboard layouts alone would make a second batch a huge success. And don't forget those over at GH who missed it because it was so well hidden in the SP subforum.
