it was even more vile before i cleaned it with disinfectant wipes and compressed air YUCK! i wonder if i could get away with buying a realforce on ITs credit card :P

to be fair when i replace everything with 10.10 compatible kit i may see if matias can do a good offer on a bulk order of 60 tactile pros :D

Yes, I agree, although before it catches crumbs, it is rather attractive.

I managed to sell mine some time ago on eBay. I was surprised anyone would actually pay money for the thing, but perhaps they are using it as an objet d'art (displaying it in a hermetically sealed case where it can't trap detritus). I liked looking at my Apple keyboard; I just couldn't type on it without keys jamming.

i think the original iMac one was worse but thats just me i guess they are both nasty

my work image is already out of date by the way got rid of the old monitor and replaced it with one that has a stand and does not have to be balanced on a box of paper :P

some reason the monitor in the photo has a design flaw the stand snaps off if you try to ajust the monitor :P, lucky it has VESA mounts so i will just get a cheap stand off eBay for it ( even tho its only VGA the older one looks way nicer that the new one i am using now) i have 3 of them that have done that , unfortunately 2 of them where kind enough to smash the LCD in the process

is that mouse a performance MX ? what do you think of it?, i find it ok but i think its not very accurate when making fine movements ( using a sniper in a game or something like that ) it kind of moves in little steps does not move smoothly and generally is a little laggyy. possibly i have just been spoilt by the accuracy of a slim blade i dunno but it does not feel anywhere near as good as my now broken deathadder i wish i had waited and got another one of them :( may sell it and do that its only like 3 months old

I'm pretty happy with it -- I've had it for at least 3 years now without issue.
Granted, my needs are pretty minimal. I don't game or do anything that needs pinpoint accuracy.
Edit - Honestly, I don't even notice any lag or other performance degradation but I'm not really looking for it either.

Actually an old Eveready. I have a 2D version of it somewhere else but between the 3D Eveready Captain there and the 6D Maglite I can light up anywhere or break windows anywhere I need.

Hey Guys!

New to the community so I figured I would post a picture of my current set up.

Monitor:
Dell u2414h IPS Display

Computer:
MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2013)
2.4 GHz Intel Core i5
8GB 1600MHz memory
256GB PCIe-based flash storage

Furniture :
Desk: Something random I got off Craigslist
Chair: IKEA MARKUS

Accessories :
Mouse: M.O.U.S 9 from Mad Catz
Keyboard: CM Storm Quickfire TK (really want to get a poker II)
Headphones: Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro
Mic: Blue Yeti with a windscreen
Laptop Stand: GhostStand from Twelve South
Notebook: Moleskine

What's unique about my set up? I have a headless (Mac mini) server stored in the desk drawer below along with my cable management (keeps all of my cables off the floor and tucked away) and a three TB external HDD for some redundant back ups.

Welcome! Beautiful curved desk you've got! :o ;)
How do you like the U2414H?
My Eizo S1910 is dying and I can't decide between U2414H and U2415!

I got hold of a 33 years old pair of German speakers in a great condition yesterday (Canton Quinto 520).
They sound way better than my "old" speakers that I paid more than 4 times as much for :|

On the far right is the Mac Pro cylinder and a dismantled RF 87uw board. Under the bench is an aging Dell running Linux Mint 17 Xfce. Behind the center monitor is a Mac mini running Windows 7. The current keyboard in rotation is a RF 87ub 55g, which is shared by the three computers via a combination of a hardware KM switch and Synergy software. My refurbished XT is sitting on the parallel desk behind the chair.

They look cool! How did you manage to amplify them?

They're good old fashioned speakers, shouldn't be too hard. Bonus points for a vintage amp with glowing tubes…

Yep, indeed. No tube amplifier though.. The speakers have a power rating of 65W and I drive them with a 25 year old Kenwood amp (KA-3020) with 2x60W so it's a great match both in power and age haha :D

I didn't realise there was a way to delete your name off the 8.1 Start screen.
