Thanks kbdfr and dirge.

That is pretty much what I figured. I think it's time to get out my soldering iron and brush up on my skills!

Cheers.

Looking to subsidize an MX clear board by selling my DAS but I have no idea what to ask for it. MX blues - half of the keycaps are brand new (checkerboarded it) including the space bar. Probably 8 months old.

Hi everyone,

Got some stuff here I would like an estimate on. Not sure if I'll sell all of them but at least I'll get an idea on how much it's worth and if it corresponds with the idea in my head :) Thanks!

Cherry boards:
1) Cherry g80-779 /07
Spoiler:
- pretty rare
- black MX switches (the older ones I presume)
- fully cleaned and in great condition. Very slight yellowing on some spots
- double shot keycaps and three LED see through caps
- ISO: BE azerty but with french text on some keys
- AT/XT: tested and working with Soarers adapter
2) Cherry G81-3006 HCF/06
Spoiler:
- MY switches
- doubleshot keycaps
- ISO: FR azerty
- not cleaned
- PS/2: tested and working
3) Cherry G81-3000 LAB/00
Spoiler:
- MY switches
- no doubleshots. dye-sub or lasered?
- ISO: BE azerty
- not cleaned
- AT: tested and working with passive AT->PS/2 adapter
4) Cherry G80-3700 HQAUS/04
Spoiler:
- black MX (the newer kind I think)
- progammable numpad
- doubleshots, expect the numlock and top macro row
- fully cleaned and in great condition. Will soon have all the transparant covers on top.
- PS/2: tested and working
5) Liberty 8DF11792
Spoiler:
- nice compact keyboard, great for a project! Has some unique looking keycaps or fonts
- black MX (I think the older ones)
- lasered or dye sub keycaps
- ANSI qwerty layout
- not cleaned and pretty yellowed
- ethernet-like connection, haven't tried to connect it
ALPS boards
1) Dell AT102
Spoiler:
- cream/pink ALPS switches
- ISO: BE azerty
- old Dell logo
- not cleaned but in good shape
- PS/2: tested and working
2) Dell AT102W - I have a few of these
Spoiler:
- black ALPS switches
- ISO: Spanish and BE azerty
- not cleaned but overall good shape, some have a bit more yellowing
- new Dell logo
- PS/2: tested and working
3) NAN TAN computer co. KB-6252E A
Spoiler:
- white ALPS switches
- Enhanced 102 keys (big-ass enter), FR azerty
- cleaned en retr0bited, cosmetic very good condition
- AT: tested and working with passive AT->PS/2 connector
You can check out the images right here: http://imageshack.us/g/840/nantankb6252e04.jpg/
The big pics of the keyboards don't look that yellow in real life. It's a combination of a not so great camera and bad lighting from shitty weather ^^ You can see a bit of the normal color on the macro shots.

@Paranoid
Nice to see so many French keyboards, even if I have no clue how much they might be worth.
The G81-3000 LAB/00 will surely have lasered keys ("L" in LAB)
Regarding the 3700, I could send you two transparent covers for shipping costs.

hey kbdfr, many French ones indeed, not as many Belgian ones as I'd like to see though :p Good to know regarding the G81. I never know how to tell the difference between dye-sub and lasered (I've never actually searched how I can tell the difference so maybe the problem lies there)
Would be awesome for those transparant covers! PM on the way :)

Here are some better pictures.

The condition is good, only the caps are a little bit yellowish. All switches function properly.

How much is a black UK ISO Dell AT102W in good condition but with a few worn legends (Ctrl, shift, some on the home row) worth? The switches are all nice and smooth and in good condition.

I've got 303 vintage Cherry MX black switches, pulled from 3 Wyse boards (circa 1987-1992...ish...). What would something like that be worth?

15-25c /ea

I get 50 cents apiece for brand new desoldered brown switches. So I would assume that vintage blacks (the smooth lubed kind?) would be about the same or more. MBC is underestimating their worth IMO.

I've heard mention of this "lube" before but, frankly, don't know what it means...is there actually a viscous lubricant applied to the inside of these switches? And would it really still be effective after 20+ years? I was thinking about 50 cents/ea as well, so at least I'm in the ballpark, just curious to find out more.

new ones ?
I guess those are not really lubed but overall a little more smooth, at least thats how I remember and feel.
A tad lighter they are. Got to find someone really looking for blacks though, this is much easier for those sparse browns imo.
Personally I wouldn't pay 50c each for them, but as mintberry I'm from Germany too and I would [hardly] pay that for browns. yep I'm a cheapo. :)

A used Kinesis numpad MX browns, great condition.

Could one of you knowledgeable guys grab me an estimate on how much that is worth?
Thanks :)

I'd like a ballpark figure on the following:
a modded G80-1000HFD w/ doubleshots, windowed caps and acrylic case
- someone offered me 20€ on eBay, 4 watchers but it hasn't sold
- another person said that 100€ was too much and that I should lower the price (there was a 'Best Offer' option)

http://www.ebay.de/itm/251113941530?ssP ... 542wt_1346

Chicony 5182 NIB white ALPs

set of german Cherry doubleshots, condition: 4/5

set of ANSI Cherry doubleshots, condition: 4/5

Cheers

do the math: 20€ plus 16€ shipping, that's the 36€ a G80-1kHFD sells for.
Buyer obviously would have dumped your case anyway. That's the problem with custom jobs, you gotta find someone looking for exactly what you created, and having the money to pay up for it, instead of doing it himself for the money. So auction it is the worst solution. I don't know what you paid for the acryl stand but I suggest 50€ for the whole board should be low enough to get it out of the house? Also in german its "Plexi" and don't count on average Hans Meier to bid on it - they still frown upon anything from the former Eastern bloc

30€ shipped for an average 1000 set would be my guess.

Hi guys, I've been looking for cherry RGB kit for quite a time. Not sure what's the proper price for a set of cherry RGB, dyesub? And for a double shot set? Thank you.

I bought a Cherry dyesub RGB set last year for about $50 I think, I have no idea if that's a good or bad price to be honest though.

Aren't those like horribly hard to get ?

I'm pretty sure they are worth a lot more than that. (at least the original cherry once).

No idea, I googled "RGB cherry dyesubs" and found a set on GH when I was looking and paid whatever the seller was asking. I don't recall seeing many up for sale recently though so you may be right (about the rarity and the price). I got mine for my Phantom so won't be getting rid of them anytime soon :D.

The trouble with the above board is that it's made up of lots of different parts that I got from different people:
- the board itself cost ~25€
- don't remember how much I paid for doubleshots (hence the follow-up question)
- windowed caps I bought from you ;-)
- plexi case cost ~30€ + about 10€ in gas

You do the math. At 50€ I am at a gigantic loss and it would be better to break it up and sell everything individually.

Ah but the funny part is, we never were in the Eastern bloc! Yugoslavia was one of the founders of the Non-Aligned Movement :D Of course your average Hans wouldn't know that ;)

-50++ (the problem is that you have to wait for one of the few persons that are looking for such a keyboard, so no quick sales)
-20+
-40++

I do understand that. You asked why someone just bid 20€ on it and I explained, [in short and hurtful]: seemingly noone wants the stand, they're just after blues and DS. Now if you break it up you still have the problem of selling the stand.
This kind of stuff is almost ever a loss for the first person in the line.

Everything in the east of Germany, Austria and Italy was in the Eastern bloc, everyone knows that! Apart from Croatia of course which is the Mediterranean coastline between Italy and Greece. Also Poland is where our stolen cars go! :o
