Speak for yourself, sonny.
I support Bernie, the oldest of the candidates.
Try as he and his young fans might, he won't be on the ballot that matters. One thing America's not suffering this autumn is The Bern!

Demographics-wise, old people are heavily on the conservative wing of the spectrum. Here in Scotland they're the bastards that swung the independence vote to No. Other demos had No leads too, especially English people living here and women generally. But in pure numbers, it was the old cronies wot won it. Ditto the Tory win last year (and most every year…) in England.

If Britain does as the polls and bookies expect and votes to stay in Europe, it'll be that rare thing indeed: old folk *not* getting their way. Count me skeptical! They so often prevail…

I would never vote for her , not because she is a woman , but because she is a terrible person. I also don't know how any none white person can bring themselves to vote for her , what with her being a racist and all.

Trump is no better, i could not vote for him ether , don't get me wrong his plan is genius but all of the things he is saying he could never do anyway. He gets votes from the classic area where you would thing someone like him would get them; but i also thing that a major part of why he has got so far is the, hyper offended, safe space, all white people are racist , all men are sexist brigade have got so many people fed up with there bullshit that they want to vote for him as he claims that he would do something about that crap.

I want bernie back !

Oh by the way fun fact , granny farming has only been against the law ( the the UK since 2006)

It's not Bernie I dislike so much as all his goddamn Bernie Bros. They're not the best of losers, but that's politics.

Indeed. I know many admirably dumb Scots, as well as illiberal old people. And some that aren't. But *some* is less than many!

I would not worry about that one , if you don't get your way you just keep having a referendum until you do , so say the SNP.

It will be a dark day indeed if the UK leaves the EU , i hope it does not happen, we rely on europe for so many things , it would be super expensive for anyone who does trade or works in europe and we would no longer have europe to hold the leash of the more bat shit crazy stuff the government wants to do ( great firewall of the UK anyone ?).

The EU is great , the art organisation i work for http://www.fact.co.uk/ ( shameless plug , give us money please!) would no longer exist in its current form without EU funding, loads of people who work here are from europe , loads of the artists and researchers we work with are from europe, we would simply not have the money to do that kind of work without the freedom being part of the EU brings, even without the money they provide.

The daily mail reading Out people will say , " oh but we give x to the EU and only get y back" , fine whatever , but what would the UK government do with that money if it did not go to the EU ? Spend it in the areas that the former EU funding was going ? Hahah , oh shit your serious let me laugh even louder HAHAHAHA! , No they would use it to ether give london a shit load more money or keep it in the bank and not spend it.

Keep it for the Brexit thread! I plan to start that one as soon as I get my postal vote ballot paper, like I did in 2014 for the Indyref.

Speaking of which: that's what the SNP's enemies said. Managed to scare a good few Scots to join the old geezers for a change and vote Tory up here. Eeeew! Nicola Sturgeon, understandably, wasn't banging on about a rerun of the vote. It's way too soon. Unless you lot tear us out of Europe.

I wonder what would happen , if say we did exit and then you lot :) leave , would the EU have you back ?

Us tear you out of europe ? Its your fault the conservatives got in when you all voted SNP :P

Nope. They have an overall majority. That's still true even if ever other MP was Labour. You English have *that* much dominance in parliament. Scotland hasn't swung an election in generations.

As for Scotland after Brexit—Scentry?—the Spanish were so adamant in 2014 that they'd veto letting us in, you'd have to reckon we'd be out on our arse thanks to you in any case. But this is Europe we're talking about. Land of fudge and dodgy inside deals…

I like the idea of a simple text find and replace in the EU paperwork mountain. Find:United Kingdom. Replace:Scotland.

He's doing good work to prepare the ground for a better future candidate from the traditional left, I'll give him that. America's awful slide to the right throughout my lifetime needs a lot of adjustment! And if Trump is a trailblazer for celebrity rabble rousers on the other side, the left could have more opportunity in future, too.

True, too bad Hillary is not part of that programm. Either way if the trumpet goes to the WH it's going to be like the worst wake up call for everyone.

She's a racist, liberal, sexist, feminist, communist neocon. So I'm told. But as long as she keeps the wedding missiles flying…

To me the wedding (and hospital etc) missiles are "secondary" which sounds macabre, rather the "goldman sachs system mingle for millions" is more of an issue with her and her old man. The trumpet does not need that (yet) and Bernie sure ain't swingin' that way.

Trump's heading to the trough soon enough:

http://www.nytimes.com/2016/05/10/us/po ... d=37545018

He's not nearly rich and/or stupid enough to pay for his own general election campaign. It's a very sizeable mountain of cash. Much too much for him.

So I'm told.
In her heart she is probably a good caring person, but she has sold herself out to the worst of the financial robber barons.

That I understand, she needed the money.

What I don't understand is why she is such a hawk.

My guess: to compensate for being a woman.

It's her version of Trump's bravado. Which is his way of compensating for his tiny little… hands.

That, sir, is a rather misogynist remark.
I wouldn't know what women have to compensate for.

Why does it matter if she is a woman or if tump has tiny "hands" .....

The mark of a good leader is what they say and what they do , in my personal view they both fall short.

Or am i just very confused and we need to break out the sarcasm colour again ?

It's not misogyny, but equality. People have issues, this includes women. If a man can have a small penis complex, so can a woman.

Or a small breast complex. That's why many ladies do really stupid stuff like have silicon stuffed in there.
