Woo, I see my name :-)

I'll tell you a little secret, I bought into Sprit's gb too, just to see who would make it to my door first :-P

When do you expect to ship the MX-minis?

Hey, just read the whole discussion, and got a bit confused about the firmware. Is it fully free software, is it possible to modify/rebuild it? If it is hackable, I'd be interested in (if it's not too late ;) :
- 1 FaceU replica
- 1 MXminiU replica
- 1 Acrylic case for MX-MINI U

Tinnie are you still taking orders? If so, I'll take:

Face U replica, support ISO, €30
Aluminium plate (support ISO) for face U, €19

Thanks!! :D :D

Bad news for MX-MINI U - This will take few weeks more to test, and finish. Sorry about that. If you have any question or any request, please PM me. :)

Nice, that was fast. The red PCB looks really nice.

Yep, it looks really nice. An has all the smd stuff soldered on, from the photo it seems that also the resistors for LED's are there.
Can't wait to get mine :D

Looks like diodes on every switch as well. So NKRO?

faceU is NKRO, I knew that the diodes will be there, but the resistors are a nice extra touch :D SMD soldering is a pain, and this is machine picked so is way better. This was a really good deal. I might put some LED's on one of the boards, just for fun :D
And the red PCB looks sick, way better than green.
Thanks Tinnie ! :)

Aren't diodes to prevent ghosting, not achieve NKRO? I think NKRO needs to handled on the microcontroller by emulating a USB hub with multiple keyboards attached. I could be wrong, but that's my understanding.

Diodes are one link in the chain required for NKRO.

Why is there the CapsLock key marked as CapsLock?

Nope, this

Is the same one as in pexon's GB

Not bad. Good job I don't have enough for it even at that price…

Same here :( I was thinking on buying one today, but I have to put an end to this :D
For my faceU PCB's I got a stock Poler case for free, paid only shipping and that was cheap too. With all these fancy cases GB's I'm sure I will find a second one also cheap, I can live with that :D

BTW, that Vortex case is great quality for the price.
I got one from Pexon's GB and can't wait for the PCB/plate to arrive!

..[whisper]geeeet one noooow[/whisper].....

My question above could be misunderstood. But why does a programmable PCB have keymappings on it?

Posted: 28 Aug 2014, 21:09
by DanielT
I think is just a "map", people like to se familiar things. From what I have read you can program it any way you want.
I guess at least 60-70% of the people who buy it will put Caps Lock in the classic Caps Lock position.
Also is good to know what cap size goes there. Is just a naming convention I guess :D

Sorry for asking again, but does anyone know if the source code for this keyboard firmware is available and if it's possible to modify/rebuild it?

ok, i havent seen any post about it, but i'm happy to know now that it is NKRO. And aswell for the resistors.

When will you ship next batch, tinnie?
