Text says the… top left keyboard is not included

Auf dem Foto ist die Tastatur oben links nicht enthalten
true, I did not see (read) that either. It's an even shittier deal then.

That G81-1000 I posted is "cheap" and filthy!

That's how I like my keyboards. Cheap and filthy.

It looks lasered anyway. No big loss

Hopefully, there's people speaking German on that forum.

I thought it might be, but I was not entirely sure what it is.

I'm posting it since I just bought an M0110 and an F XT. No more budget for spare boards

I always thought Model M cases were made of plastic that couldn't yellow, this one looks really yellowed though.

That's what I thought also. Strange. That's a silver label M Jimmy. Best Model M's IMO. The real McCoy.

For those of us clueless about Cherry's codes, what are they like?
I get the H = heißspritz wildgoose (or whatever it is) = doubleshot. And being G80s I assume they're MX black, and… plate or PCB mounted? D = Deutschesqwertz, naturally. But the number is the part that befuddles me.

1501 is a nice, very common model. NKRO, ISO, Windowed lock keys, Card reader, PCB Mount, MX Blacks, Doubleshots, DIN.
It was actually my first G80 and the board that started my addiction.. I'm not sure whether to love it or hate it.

Would you sell just the windowed caps?

Thanks Photekq. PCB mount appeals to me, seeing as I have a load of springs from Sprit. How sturdy are these guys for typing? How well supported is the PCB?
Off-centre caps lock looks to me the only cap I'd have trouble covering with my Round 5.
By the way. where's the card reader?
I'd rather go without one anyway. But I don't get where it attaches on these.

LOL I always dig your German translations.

I think the card reader is on the right hand side. I don't know this exact model but I have experienced PCB flexing on other cherry keyboards and it bothered me slightly.

1000 is more solid than 3000, but still flexy. That's part of the PCB mount charm. Stiff isn't always best. The card reader is at the side!

Interesting. Now let's see if I can make Kbdfr's eyebrows twitch: where's the controller on these? Any good for a certain chop?

Good answer!
It's a lot of work, and I'm unlikely to attempt it any time soon, but a nice potential if I ever do get around to it.
Coincidentally, there's also a little GB for Cherry G80-3422LAMIT going on:
http://deskthority.net/group-buys-f50/i ... 10678.html
I can see the different layout (winkeys, and those mysterious Roman Numerals etc.) and the L stands for lasered legends, inevitably. 3000s are flimsier then? And I'm guessing the switches, along with the rest of the keyboard, are newer and therefore less good.
