With an avatar like that, you'd think so!

There's a lot of switches out there that I like, too. Clicky NMB, Montereys, Topre, damped Alps. IBM's the main course, but the others make for a richer meal.

A quick and dirty snap of my HHKB after rescuing her, after so much wear on the Mini USB port, eventually, it came clean off, bringing some of the solder traces with it too, I managed to get the board working again by soldering the port with ribbon wire directly to the contacts.

Low profile, common mount, black Alps.
Feels almost like my mx browns with 65g, but a just little smoother and just a little heavier.
It looks like the Datacomp DCK-84B from Ascaii's collection:

(mine doesn't have any info sticker on the back, otherwise looks the same)

Oooh, interesting little board. Similar enough to my Monterey K110. I'm no fan of the black ALPS in my Dells, but maybe these are nicer. Nice. :)

Yes, typing is surprisingly smooth. :)

I would never assume that you "edit anything in" photekq! Great detail there. Keep it up.

New vintage RGB mods noless Nuum! My other Focus FK-2002 has the same doubleshots but blue Alps. This one has the dust cover though which is pretty useless.

I never thought I'd see "naked cage" used when talking about keyboards. I just Googled "naked cage" images and that was a bad idea.

In that first photo, what's the difference between 4C, 5C and 11C?

I think I like the second photo best.

well I did not know what to call it! I don´t know what the right technical term is. Dorkvader or HaaTa probably know. I noticed those numbers too. Again for lack of knowledge I cannot tell you, sorry.

ok Dorkvader called them metal leafs in my Micro Switch thread which makes sense. It´s not a "cage" anyway. :?

I like that. You should take a bunch of photos of that, varying angles and lighting. I'm sure you can make an interesting Deskthority header.

Thanks, in that shot I like the way the light hits those round holes in the barrel. I allready took about ten shots of that, I liked this one the best so far. I´m kind of bored with the photographic options/ angles etc. a keyboard gives me. That´s really why I started shooting open keyboards. I need to get a good marco lens. Mine is not good enough for super detail shots like photekq sometimes posts. Yeah I guess I have some shots that might work for DT headers.

Your "naked cage" might work as a header too. I just did a test crop that looked fine.

I like patterns. Put it in the right thread so we can click to preview, eh!

What's wrong with a naked cage? Some people have a lot of fun under lock and key…

The caps are great, especially those PF.. ones. And E-Lö :)

I started cleaning my 3278 beamspring, and made some pictures of course. Nothing done yet, but i like that click sound and tactile feedback so much, that it truly is the best switch ever made - or at least it feels like the best switch for me. But much too loud for this flat we have currently...

ALSO WHERE ARE MY ROUND 5 CAPS :x Every time i see and now even feel such spherical caps, i can't wait for my Round 5 order. The bump in the F and J key of these beamspring caps feels like the dirtiest things you could imagine when touch typing keyboard caps.

Even though my photo skills suck, I can assure you I do love my brand new Unicomp :P It's my second mechanical keyboard and my condition is aggravating... My first mechanical is a Logitech G710+ with MX Browns and I'm planning to get an IBM Model M soon, as well as a TKL WASD v2 with MX Blues and no legends printed on the keys. And then I'll stop, I swear.
