Hi all I was introduced to the world of mechanical keyboards recently by Chyrosan22

. Because of him I was inspired to search through my local ad listings for vintage keyboards. The Alps branded keyboard on top caught my attention however I can't seem to find out what model it is. Would anyone happen to know anything about the other keyboards as well? Thanks!

Hi, help me what is keyboard on top?
The odd top row layout and chunky arrow keys make me think maybe Datacomp?
(not this one, but similar perhaps?
wiki/Datacomp_DFK515)
Can't you ask the seller for a photo of the back label at least? Or to pop a cap?

Okay, I think I wasted like a solid hour trying to find any info about this but FCC and Model searches have left me completely empty-handed ._ . My gut is telling me it's probably going to end up being a rubber dome but there is a tiny lingering hope that says it might have Alps under the caps.

Same layout exactly, could be a different version or for a DEC terminal clone?

Aropa KT-1002 - Anyone know anything about this? Literally can not find a single thing about it with a google search. Looks like vintage blacks, can anyone confirm?

Can anyone help me out with information about this board? Nothing more than the sticker sadly. Has an 8-pin DIN plug. What switches are those?

The manufacturer is
Oriental Tech. Probably an OK-100, because of the Cyrllic. Some have "Beltron" labeled on them. They have Alps-mount
membrane switches.
A post I looked at said something like, "Stay far, far away."
The wiki articles say that these have double-shot keycaps. I suppose if you just need some pretty nice looking keys, there ya go.

I recently converted one of these Data General 6348 boards and wrote a blog post about it:

They're real nice.

Wow, thanks for sharing that! Decades ago I had one of the "other" DG boards - the 6246, and it had a truly lovely sound and feel. There were no Teensys or other converters back then, of course, but I got the bright idea of hand wiring its switches to match an existing keyboard's matrix and using that keyboard's controller. I never got that far, but I still have a faint glimmer of hope that I'll fiind the DG keyboard packed away in my storage, even though I know in my heart that it's not there.

I found this old Bosch keyboard at my school, looks like a mechanical but I don't really know much about it. Is it rare or just trash? No tactile clicks and quite hard to press

Cherry MY 1800. Shit switches and this one doesn't even have doubleshot caps. Pretty bad board.
