I like that jack. Phono? Symmetry makes even more sense in connectors than elsewhere. The world does not need plugs that can "go in wrong".

Hehe... yeah but we will have USB C standard now, so finally it can be resolved again after 30 years.

For anybody interested, apparently the "best offer" for the one already sold was,
according to a tool which which I sometimes use and which has proven reliable in the past,
astonishing 100€.

I like round connectors even better than reversible ones. Every way is right vs. just a couple. Then asymmetrical connectors (FireWire 400 and USB B) better than false symmetrical ones (FireWire 800 and USB A). So much wrong!

Holy shit, I'd pay €100 for that...if I had €100....

I will use the RF every day, how often will I use that!?
(This is just me trying to convince myself I don't want it)

I know, that's why I'm pushing back so hard.
Anyway, Topres suck.

What's so special about that keyboard? Just the rareness as a collector?

Pretty much, it's pretty as hell as well though.

I was really only joking. I do own a HHKB2 and like it. But it's not my favourite keyboard and Topre is not my favourite switch. Actually RF quality build is not flimsy.

I did some accounting and it turns out I have about £100 more than I thought I did..
That's justification enough for me. I don't really want to spend 100EUR though. I'll see if he'll go a bit lower.

Whey! Peer pressure ftw!
Also, topres are fine,; a little overpriced/overhyped, but fine as a switch.

I was considering it as an interesting vintage hardware (not only for the kb)
notebook Zenith ZFL-181-93
http://www.subito.it/informatica/notebo ... 032504.htm
it seems to have Alps SKFL
http://deskthority.net/wiki/Alps_SKFL
after looking at this video the switches seems interesting,
but 80 EUR are not few...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T8zELmSNq2M
somebody knows if it's worth 80 EUR?

Key Tronic foam and foil. Linear (springs), not tactile (buckling rubber sleeves). I asked.

(Now that I have "enough" keyboards I expect to do much less buying and much more sharing of neat finds. I have - seriously - about 40 eBay saved searches chugging along in the background.)

Pretty sure that preh is identical to a keyboard Nuum described as a terribly mushy rubberdome.

Tasty coffee and cream preh, I could take seriously webwit food blog as a color scheme comparison.
Curious the functions disseminated here and there,
and the extension cable connector at the midway seems to be extrastrong watertight.
I thought Dasher 2 was in the 1970s but if it's keytronic f&f than it could be of the 1980s...
anyway... 40? too much delicatessen, would be interesting at least only just to have a look.
