60€ for the caps, not too much for a mx blues board itself

KB-5181 board. Has Monterey blue keys. It was part of a Midwest Micro Elite PC system. Very gently used. %100 excellent to new condition. No cosmetic damage. Slight yellowing on the body, but the keys are all still unchanged in color. It sat in a basement with controlled humidity so it's basically in perfect shape minus signs of aging. I removed every single key and cleaned it all... works great. I'm typing with it now lol

None of the keys have any indication of mechanical wear going by the tact feedback. See photos for the label details. It seems to be the same internals as the Chicony boards... did they brand the same board for different PC systems? Can I advertise this as a Chicony board?

Yes, that's a Chicony OEM board. I'd say maybe $50.

Another one I have... Chicony KB-5981 ... excellent condition. It's also excellent in the fact that it is the first gen keyboard with Windows keys

Opened it to clean, and also refurbished the shield with some aluminum tape where some cracking had occurred with the cardboard's surface.
Guts:

Are most likely 3rd gen Fujitsu Leaf Springs
Most likely £15-20 Tops ?

IMO not 100$, I sold my pre-converted one for like 75$.

they don't come up to often though :/
I'd rather pay $100 for an old xt than $450 for one of the compact f62's

The last German eBay one was around that price, US prices should be way lower than that

Hello all,
I have a few new/like new items that I would like to sell back to the enthusiast community. I would like to get a rough estimate selling price for the items I have.
- Gateron: Red - 120-plate mount switches (new)
- Key caps: PBT - Miami (new)
- KBParadise: Mini V60 mechanical keyboard w/ Cherry MX Blue's (like-new) I bought because of size for cross-country LAN I attended - used a hand full of times.

Thanks

Switches are available for 24$ on kbdfans, the caps are maybe like 30$ and the keyboard seems like a normal 60% board, so I'd say maybe around 70-80$ for it.

Someone overpaid happens all the time, especially on GREED_bay.

[/quote]Well if he's gonna stick it on Greedbay anyway, what's the point of having it taxed here? xD

Maybe someone reaaaaally wanted to complete their kick-ass Midwest Micro PC system. Lol - what the hell is that brand anyway? Never heard of it. Must have been a mail-order IBM clone back in the day...

Exactly, but who cares.

That would be very specific, but why not? If someone used this back in the day it may have emotional value to them.

The shop I work for had a bunch of Midwest Micro PC's back in the day. I found an NMB rubber dome with Midwest Micro branding.

waht is the most expensive/rearest mx and or alps switch
Posted: 17 Aug 2017, 01:00
by hansichen
Stripped Ambers for alps (around 300 switches known as far as I know) and for MX maybe the 100-120g space black linear switch, but that's just a mx black with different spring. These are only known to be existing in a few early 80s boards as the space bar switch, probably before the mx grey was anounced. The most expensive one should be Nixdorf blacks/grey or some Hirose clear switches.

Can anyone kindly confirm if this is a buckling spring model M and how much is it worth? Note that there are no LEDs !??!?
IBM p/n 139 43 17
Made in 1999 (a little late...)
I think that it should work with Soarer's? Correct?
Thanks for your time

Sure, that's a Model M terminal keyboard with 122 keys. You can convert it with a Soarer converter.
Terminal keyboards don't have LEDs.

That's a good news, how much could it be worth? About 40 USD?
