one of the acrylic cases? I had a separate group buy for acrylic cases, but I have enough buyers for it now. If the first one is successful, I might do another one.

Wait; sending CASE (or watever it is) to phantom didnt add me to the groupbuy

There was the discussion if we could get Filco cases, but somehow this failed.

I've removed the cases from the list.

I tried to put on a marketing hat, and see what feature list I could come up with. Some of the features of Phantom are new since we started the project.
  • Supports vintage Cherry double shot, laser, and dye sub keycaps
    • 1.5x Ctrl and Alt vintage Cherry keycaps (PHANSI and PHISO plate options)
    • With 1.5x modifiers, you can also use Cherry’s 7x spacebars
    • Supports centered-stem and offset-stem Capslock (also from vintage Cherry Keyboards)
    • Also support modern keyboard layout with 1.25x Ctrl and Alt modifiers (PHANSIWIN and PHISOWIN plate options)
  • Supports both Costar and Cherry stabilizers
  • Supports in-switch LED at Capslock and Scroll Lock locations, as well as Filco style LED locations between PrintScrn-ScrollLock-Break and Insert-Home-PageUp
  • Plate design allows Cherry MX switch top removal without de-soldering the switch first
    • Perfect for easy switch lubing, repair, or modding
    • Excluding switches with in-switch LED
  • Supports 5 extra keys between 6-pack and arrow keys (case modification required)
  • Supports 6KRO over USB with current Teensy firmware
    • potentially NKRO over USB in the future with new Teensy firmware
  • All keys can be remapped via firmware source code changes (currently a recompile of source is required)
  • LED brightness adjustable in firmware source code
  • Fits inside Filco Tenkeyless cases
    • PLU cases could also work
  • Community support on Geekhack.org and Deskthority.net
Am I missing anything?

^^^What should that be?

2*(1.25*3)+x==15 => x==15-2*(1.25*3)==7.50

You should order:
PHANSIWIN 0
PHANSI 1

Sorry about not able to lower the PCB pricing. It is actually the same price as the original invoice we sent out. We are not getting much discount at all beyond 30 pieces. And we need to include setup fees, shipping from China to distributors, and the initial test PCBs we had to make to verify the design, which were at much higher price.

Hey litster, sorry for that (silly) question:
I will need several Costar stabilizers for a project, any info which message needs to be sent to PHANTOM?

Posted: 25 Jan 2012, 22:52
by litster
Do you need 6.25x stabilizers or 7x stabilizers?

Posted: 25 Jan 2012, 22:56
by blainchen
16* 2U and 4* 7U

But I could bend new wires for them, so the size doesn't matter.
The cheaper, the better ;)

It is a slightly older version of the Round 4 script, but is more or less the same.

CLEARALL clears the order and your e-mail address should be in a single line and all that.

litster, do you think that you could bend me a 6 unit stabilizer? Not 6.25 units, 6 units, for my Realforce 88U-like layout, please.

So CLEARALL doesn't add all clears in order? ;D What about REDALL, BLUEALL and BLACKALL?

CLEARALL

For 2U and 6.25U, they are not made by me, so you can order what you want. But for 7U I will be bending the stabilizer bars myself. It looks like I will be bending 30 to 40 7x stabilizer bars. My fingers are going to hurt.

I can probably do it. But I don't have a 6x stabilizer bar in front of me, so I don't know how accurate it will be.

Added higher res picture of the front and back of PCB to the first post. It is shrunk down to 1/16 of its original size, but it is still pretty high res :-) It is pretty amazing to look at, in that it can support so many variations. Look at all the holes...
