I kinda checked it. Tried on one side and my worry is that when you are detaching it from each other its putting a bit of stress to the cork thus still need to pry it with the blade. The added height kinda botters me also.

Putting the least effort and cost on it is the main idea. Its temp anyway till i find a case. Last thing I did on it is put some acrylic paint on it then wipe it with a wet cloth.

A IBM typewriter (buckling spring), I am unsure if I salvage it for parts and keycaps or convert it with a teensy.
A keyboard with unknown switch type (at best it could be aruz or blue alps)
A complete IKEA kitchen and several household apliances :)

I couldn't resist buying this FM Towns FMT-KB202A tenkeyless keyboard yesterday. Maybe one day I'll be able to find the FM Towns computer that it matches. More pics to come if/when it arrives.

Recently designed and ordered a 60% plate based on the IBM 5140 layout, arrived late yesterday!

That's neat emdude! Are you going to reuse the same switches? Will you cut down its PCB or are you going for full hand-wiring?

Yup, the keyboard will be using Alps SKCM Browns. Going to use an Alps64 PCB with it though.

These arrived the other day (just a crappy quick pic for now, plates are going out for sandblasting and powder coating tomorrow)

I don't think my table will ever look more awesome than that. Missing those SKCM browns though :)

Man, an OmniKey AND an Unsaver, very nice. :)

Rainbow-alps-omnikey-to-be no less :) I was lucky that only one screw was soldered on that plate-PCB assembly. After a lot of trial and error I managed to get it out by way of drilling the head to split it in half, and only then using a heat gun to remove the remaining part of the head from the PCB.

As for Unsaver, all thanks goes out to Cindy and HAL. Got it cleaned real nice for now.

edit:
And this beauty arrived today as well.
Image

And the ambers to me feel awesome. I still haven't tried blue alps in a keyboard, but if they are better than amber, and if mine are in nice condition (and I think they are), they are truly great then.

People bag on them, but I love these branded G81-3ks :D
I didn't even know about the one you got but I think I like it more than the Schumi one.

Edit: Oh and btw...did anyone jump on this when it was available? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/262415
I managed to get an order through but who knows if they will actually honour it.

Double Edit: LOL...of course, too good to be true :(

I also have a Hertha BSC one
Too bad about two years ago I missed the only Moorhuhnjagd one I have ever heard of or seen.

I find that quite disturbing kbdfr, especially since the damn HSV is my home town Bundesliga team. Personally I perfer more "moderate" acquisitions like this 1390148.

more than a week's worth of Ebay stuff arrived on friday. Here's the loot. Sorry couldn't resist that SAD:
Image

Love this one, very useful alphanumerics and some sweet mods:
Image

Probably going to restore this one, plate mounted vintage blacks and thiiick doubleshots. Vendor still has more for 10€ each... how's that possible?
Image

Well same vendor sold this for 7€ and I thought whatever, added it to the basket. Strange switch, doubleshot caps though:
Image

Nice thin doubleshots with alps mount. Also just a few buck from the same seller (above) Blue KPT switches. Wasn't really a surprise because even before popping one, they already felt very unsmooth:
Image

More from the above seller. Since I was already at it, i got more mystery crap from him. At least I like these MX compatible doubleshot caps:

Just bought: http://www.ebay.com/itm/232053960708

I love my 15" selectric, but it's too bulky for my desk. I'll be seeking to sell that one after it's delivered back to me after maintenance.

As far as I'm concerned you can very well be contemptuous of all silly football clubs, especially HSV. But let me not get into my anti Bundesliga ranting...

Yesterday I was told Bundesliga is not the same as DFB-Pokal,
so I’m not even likely to understand any anti Bundesliga ranting

Oh you would understand me, BL is like a social disease and a profit machine for a very few at the same time.
