Yeah, the GH60 is basically unknown arrival date. It has been unknown for quite some time now. 7bit mentioned a couple of pages back that he was even considering cancelling it if he didn't get any update soon.

Hi there 7bit, I just wanted to know if you know anything about order number 605. You said that it would ship on the 11th, but czarek hasn't gotten them yet.
Thanks
Thanks

The CherryMX clear case switches are preorders ,they are not yet out on any keyboard afaik (I think the first board to use them comes out in a couple of weeks or so) so thats why the price is so low.
The cases are clear (not the whole switch), to allow LEDS to be placed on the PCB below the switch (I think), which makes them more durable.

Hello,
Any idea what happened to #0547? It looks like a box full of 60 cherry red mx switches, maybe you've seen them, anyone? 7bit? Maybe I should look into mouse button switches or scissor switches? Anyone do a DIY keyboard with those?

How long does it usually take to get switches from this buy after paying? Can someone comment? I bought some switches roughly 2 weeks ago and I don't even need them for like 2 months, but I'm just curious. Also, do we get any tracking or notification of shipment or do the switches just show up at the door? I bought Clear Case Mx Blues, so I assume since those are on pre-order it may take some time.

It really depends if they are in stock or not. If you order switches that are in stock, I believe 7bit ships them fairly quickly, but I don't believe you get tracking.cooldiscretion wrote: How long does it usually take to get switches from this buy after paying? However, if you order switches that are on pre-order/GH60, the wait can be much, much longer.

7bit did you already ship #0606 if not then I wanted to remove the MX Clear/NW to MX Grey 2 if possible. If you already shipped it, can you scrap the order for the MX Clear/NW that's still a pre order

I see...the pre-order price with low price... very interesting since clear cases much more appealing.shamanas wrote:The CherryMX clear case switches are preorders ,they are not yet out on any keyboard afaik (I think the first board to use them comes out in a couple of weeks or so) so thats why the price is so low.

still awaiting info for how to give note on special shipping request using DHL.
My last online purchase using some regular international priority mail gave a nerve-breaking of waiting for 3 months to arrive.

People planning on buying MX Clears and PCB mounting them should be vary that they are extremely tight. Not sure if this was just the batch I bought but mine are consistently very tight, and switches more often than not open up when I'm removing keycaps. The MX Greens I bought at the same time are behaving normally.

If the preorder items have a date of 8-2014 in the last column is this the earliest possible date for 7-bit getting them in stock or is this the expected date?

To echo this, I am having this problem too...not just with clears bought through this GB, but also Clears bought elsewhere around the same time. DCS keys were easy enough to pop off but SA keys are very difficult, and the switches themselves are often popping open (which I imagine isn't so great for the latches on the switch).Hermith wrote:People planning on buying MX Clears and PCB mounting them should be vary that they are extremely tight. So if I get this right the problem is fixed when using them with plate and not just having them PCB mounted? I'm asking because I just ordered some for an ErgoDox with an aluminum plate

I've had switches (MX blacks) pop right out of a plate when pulling vintage Cherry sphericals off them. (Those caps are essentially the same as DSA.) But I didn't have a PCB holdi them in place, just a hand wired matrix. The switches did pop out still closed, if that's any consolation!
DSA style caps are definitely tighter. Plate mounting will help, but those clips are only so strong.

Yeah I've always been told that DSA caps are very tight. But I guess with the solder plus the plate I should be "safe". I'll just be sure to give the caps an extra good wiggle when pulling them offMuirium wrote: I've had switches (MX blacks) pop right out of a plate when pulling vintage Cherry sphericals off them.
