I bought one Courtesy big Pad, it's with MX black switxhes and speaks PS2 protocol, smooth keyfeel and easy to adapt.

Only one question: how should I use it with such a layout?

Very cool color keycaps

Borrowed an old work truck to move some stuff a little while ago. I had to pull out the in bed tool box to make room. Found these among a debris of old bolts, broken plastic, pc back cover plates and such. Evidence of a purge of old equipment. Primary victim seems to be a model M, but there was also a random Alps keycap (I think) and a round button, probably a power or reset (turbo?) button off an old pc.

people like pointing it out, i didn't realise it was so special, i just knew it had an F module. i got this one free, but it seems to be getting no power. ill have to look into repairing it.., maybe.

Oh, that is definitely a spam thread... but it wasn't obvious from your post that you meant that instead of the preceding two posts.

I've been lurking here for a while, but I'm now more or less finished with my Model Fs for my personal computer and my pandemic work-from-home setup and thought I'd put up the photos. The unusual keycaps are custom ones via DecentKeyboards on Etsy. (While my keycaps may be an acquired taste, they came out as intended and I'm very happy with them.)

First, for non-work use is my Mac's F107:
The case was kind of rough when I got it, and that couldn't all be fixed, so the coating shows the same kind of imperfections I've seen in others that have been coated. This one is actually Cerakote in glacier black--the powder coater was not enthusiastic about a traditional powder coat on this metal, and I did a test of it on my F50 (see below) first. The imperfections aren't really noticeable in normal use, and I really like the feel of the Cerakote.

Here are two shots of my custom keycaps--again, probably an acquired taste at best):
My work from home setup is a Ellipse reproduction F77 plus an original F50 (and a Rollermouse Red in this shot):
Both are using a combination of Ellipse's blue keycaps, white Unicomp modifiers, and (especially on the F50) custom keycaps. The F50--which was in better shape than the F107 and came through the Cerakote basically perfect--is geared toward Microsoft Word shortcuts, which is what I spend most of my work time using:
I'll probably replace the Option/Alt key on the F50 with a Unicomp 1U Alt key, but I didn't have one on hand in white.

No, I quite like it! Love those dedicated keys for text alignment etc. Must be a great productivity tool if you master them.

Damn that F77 / F50 is beautiful. I'm jelly. I just have a vanilla F107 and new F77.

Although I'm quite happy with it, I can't disagree. If anyone's wondering, the F77/F50 combo is about 28 inches across. It was only usable with the Rollermouse--my arms just aren't long enough to use a normal mouse way out there!
