I just paid my invoice. Apologies I was late a day since i didn't read it had a 7 day due date. I can't wait for these keycaps to arrive at my doorstep and many thanks for creating this.

I think read it somewhere but can't seem to find it - What do I type to 7bot to check my purchases as i'm interested to add more ?

Just send anything that is not an order code to 7bot.

Just order a Turkish sandwidch (also known as Döner) and you will get a new invoice:
SANDWICH/TURKEY

I hope so, we need more living key-sets here. They should be running the show, telling us stupid humans what's appropriate for certain keyboards and what not to use.

In fact Round 5 might even decide to vote, drive a car, eat out, cruise for girls and hang out at any pub or drink place.

Before time, the poor beggar might contract aids, become an addict for drugs/drinks and then contemplate suicide. Maybe then they'll know what it's like to be human.

It is so much fun, looking through the order, now i saved the images of the sets i've ordered, and made a new overview file for me. Is the HONEY/TENKISOBASE/WHITE now $99 or $76? I think i will add one.

I sent KEBAP/MITALLES and got an overview / the invoice.
The line "Please order more to improve your ranking!" is very funny.

I ordered the Buddhist special:

MAKEMEONE/WITHEVERYTHING

But I wonder if 7bot takes it too literally. Uh oh…

I had a serious case of deja vu at The National Museum of Computing yesterday:

Nice to see the Honeywell colours are so adaptable. We can go grey & black for the beam spring style, and grey & grey & red for this one. This is why it's essential to get all the colours!

You pressed those and they were linear, right? Besides beam springs, everything I've ever tried with this style of tall sphericals is linear of one kind or another.

I like the DUP key. Also, FREE-FORM.

I bet the red unlabeled key is ENTER, otherwise you can use SHIFT-3 or SHIFT-6 to get CR or LF.

If all the colours for everything is too much, a specimen of all the colours for highlighting is really worthwhile and much more affordable. Even with the smallest order, a single blank of every colour could add so much, indeed perhaps the best tiniest order is those four blanks. Shame to miss out on all the great legends though.

I didn't touch this museum exhibit! But I bet it was linear. I did get to try a pretty Televideo 920C and the keyfeel was not great at all, inconsistent high force linear. While MX may be no buckle or beam, we have it pretty good with the amount of options they offer. Unless we do go down the route of IBM key stem tooling...

There's also a 2u ENTER on the top left, which feels more like confirmation you're ready to start or done with your input. The 4/£ is neat, maybe this type of approach would have saved manufacturers and hobbyists a lot of money over the years...

So if we're at 275%, what are the chances of prices dropping further? Or is that it for price drops now for the popular kits?

Posted: 27 Jan 2014, 14:56
by Muirium
White mod survival first. Then price drops for all the insane stuff! The popular kits got some reductions a wee while ago. Hopefully at the end of the month, the bot will have it all worked out.

Reading between the lines then, as I don't want any of the white mods, this means further price reductions for popular kits are unlikely?

Other than the existing tiered discounts or ordering hundreds of something, I suspect further reductions are unlikely. That's no reason not to order more if you can, though.

So now i ordered also the HONEY/TENKISOBASE/WHITE kit, yay - and some red stuff. Unfortunately there's a + ([EDIT] looked somwhere wrong in the table: and not $76 but $99). Would be great if it will make it.

HONEY/GHB exists to make sure that if you want to add a trackpoint and mess up your keys, you have a cheap reserve.

Are custom keys possible? I'd like some labelled keys for the ErgoDox, but can't find everything I want in your kits (and some keys only in kits with lots I don't want).

P.S. sorry for not reading the thread, but 108 pages is too much ^.^

Custom? No. But show us a diagram of your layout and we'll maybe figure it out.
