I purchased a used Maltron a few months ago off Ebay with a slightly irregular layout (parentheses on the 5 and 6 keys instead of 9 and zero, for example). During my communication, the Maltron representative also mentioned the possibility of the programmable keyboard.
My big question regard their potential programmable keyboard: how much are they going to sell the keyboard for? Their current line of keyboards already are prohibitively expensive, but are worth the cost for an RSI-sufferer. With the programmability option, that would demand an extra price premium over a standard model.
Regardless, I am anticipating the release of a programmable model. What will I do with a Kinesis Advantage, programmable Maltron, and Ergodox (hopefully)? What am I doing spend all this $$$ on keyboards? I can already see the day my family asks me to meet them in the living room. "Son, we need to have a keyboard intervention. You're destroying your life."
