For me it's the opposite. I've toured Denmark, Sweden and Norway and when people speak Danish I can usually understand the subject at least. I like Denmark. Only Scandinavian country with proper beer. I like Sweden too. Except for the beer. And the mosquitoes.

To me both Zeunerts & Falcon > Tuborg & Carlsberg. Maybe you were speaking about different danish brands though.

My rule of thumb is if the language is harder than ALPS to understand it's time to move on.
Danish is a complete mess, change the Ø and the Æ and it makes a ton more sense (Norwegian).

Also why is VAT a problem?
You should be able to declare them as an export and get the VAT back (when shipping outside EU at least, not sure how VAT works within EU states).

Maybe I can get one of my friends to bring them to Noreg next time he goes on fjellvandring ?.
Parcel-Postage from Denmark to Norway is insanely expensive.
Also, you get hit by VAT/Customs-fees because Norway isn't a EU-member ..
That could be a great solution. We get to keep all our oil money but we get those nasty fees...
