I don't have mine yet, but instructions from the HK2000C manual say:

User Setup
User setup allows users to change certain keyboard parameters individually without having to enter main setup. To initiate User setup press <Alt Gr> + <Logoff System>. You can exit with or without saving changes.

Start MACRO EDITOR by choosing a WS, pressing <MACRO KEYS> and an unassigned function key (shines yellow):
1. Enter legend for function key and press <Return>
2. Enter MACRO (all Keystrokes are stored and sent to port  Online Programming)
3. Press <System> and then <Return> to store it (shines green) or press <ESC> to cancel.
4. Press next function key for additional Macros. Macro Keys appear on tree Layer positions or on complete Macro Layers (to define Keystroke).

See the prior referenced manual if you have the MK06.

The password protection only protects certain terminals from being accessed. From what I found in the manual, there setup and configuration isn‘t password protected.

The idea is that this keyboard will control multiple computers and to protect them from unauthorized access you need a password to switch the control to them.

I have several different MK06 and one HK2000 and none of them were config locked but all had locked terminals. Since we‘re all going to be using them on a single PC, you can just configure a non-locked port to be your USB/PS2 terminal

The one I bought needed a supervisor pin to be entered. The owner didn't know it as he accidentally logged out and now it's unusable.

In the computer bios the supervisor password can usually be erased by removing a coin sized battery, could this apply to keyboards too?

According to the owner there's no battery inside. He's not bad with tech and programming so I believe him when he said he's tried everything xD .
