That was my first thought as well, although I'm having trouble deciding whether to go with the black or silver version. I imagine either could look good with dark caps. I may get the silver and then cover it up with matte grey plasti-dip if I don't like how it looks with the DSA Dolch set I'm waiting on.

I don't quite empathize with the angst... Ordered one to try out Gateron Clears. The black version of the board looks fine to me, and with different keycaps (stock ones are awful) it could be visually pleasing.
I think one of the elemental members here is just a bit grumpy. And, perhaps, biased toward "vintage" aesthetics -- no shame in that!
Also... If you want DIP switches... Northgate Omnikey. Just sayin'.

The other dealbreaker for me is that I would want to map a Fn key to use with the little finger on my right hand. Ideally, this would be a 1x key to the right of a shortened right shift, but barring that, it would be directly beneath the right side of the right shift, where the right ctrl tends to be on a standard layout board. On the MF-68, the choice would be the up-arrow key, which would essentially knock out the use of the arrow cluster. So, for me, the best choices are a 60% or TKL. Thus far, the in-between boards have not worked for me.
