Spacebar on a Leopold 660C. Down on the desktop you can see the ABS one with a pinch of shine on the left.



Color matching is still not as good as I would have liked (I'm an asshole), but honestly... it's good enough I'll see if I can have them change the color one last time (unlikely to happen), but I won't run any more samples. Now we go production!

How well does my precious white match?

The white one is slightly whiter, the black one is slightly blacker. Anyway I'll take better pictures with comparison tomorrow.

One thing for sure: they feel better than the original. Typing on the PBT spacebar is so much better than ABS (tok! tok! tok!). Also they are incredibly straight. No warping whatsoever!

My HHKB's ABS spacebar is slightly darker than the other keys, so I reckon this could be amazing. Really looking forward to it!

I'm sure MD will run as many group buys as they can I know they are collaborating with topre on many fronts. I believe they will start selling topre keyboards soon and I don't see why they wouldn't include the PBT spacebar with them.

this would be a very very rough color accuracy check. I took pictures of both keycaps, made an avg color, calculated the 3D distance and found the accuracy %.

The result is a huge approximation but anyway helps to give us an idea of where we stand.
