As an ALPS fan, it always drove me nuts the group buys-- Delta Blues and that new "Infinity Mods" package-- that we've seen tried.
They match no existing keysets, and don't coexist well with them (for example, Infinity Mods is not enough to replace all the modifier-coloured caps on even a TKL board)
I'm guessing most of us ALPS fans have a few boards (or a bucket of caps) we've already acquired for keycap harvesting. If we do a switch-swap or custom build, we're probably going to be stocking the board mostly out of our parts box, but there could be real value in "those last few caps that we can't easily scavenge". For example, ANSI Enters, 1.25x modifiers, and 6.25x spacebars. They exist, but they're a pain to find.
However, they'd have to work with the boards and caps we already have.
A white-beige set with black text is an excellent vehicle to deliver those missing caps. In terms of selling a whole board's worth, it's still a solid upgrade for common boards like the Dell AT101W/102W and the Ducky XM boards. The jury is still out on the quality of the Matias lasered caps, but the fill wore out of the Duckys over time.
Note I'm not even diving into ALPS vs. Costar stabilizers, bigass enters, and the wide number of profiles and sizes |\ comes in.

Yep, couldn't agree more. It's infuriating.Hak Foo wrote: As an ALPS fan, it always drove me nuts the group buys-- Delta Blues and that new "Infinity Mods" package-- that we've seen tried.
