For certain reasons, SP will not be able to produce any time soon.
This is because:
- Not everybody has paid
- No money has been sent to SP, yet, but will soon be done.
- SP totally forgot about the tool for the 2 units, row 1 key and my secret hope they will take over the costs had been destroyed when I explicitly asked how much the tooling costs will be.
- They will not start production for another 4-6 weeks, until the tool is ready.
The good thing: You will have enough time to push up the whites.

Oh well, could be good news for the whites, though. And Matt3o's predicted timetable…

If production is being pushed back again is the deadline being extended?
Posted: 14 Jan 2014, 19:06
by 7bit
Sure. I've been told that production can start next week, if we pay this week. But they forgot about the tool and I assumed they did not forget about it and made it already.
On the other hand, I've always calculated with the tooling costs, so no real damage.

Smart move. What's to stop us* from starting now and coming back for that one cap later? They insist it's all at once?
*Besides me finally paying off the last of my order. The additions are truly stopped now… right???

Hi guys, just to clarify payment. Using PayPal do I use the 'Online Purchases' (w/ goods) or 'Personal Payment' (w/ others or Payment owed). Or does it not matter?

by Muirium
First one. The important part is it is not a gift. There's no need to supply your address, though, because 7bit already has that in his system.

Awesome, thanks Muirium. Payment made

Cool. Now don't add any more caps and you'll be doing better at this group buy then me!

So does this mean that I can postpone my final payment a little more? I'm only 8 dollars short and am thinking of adding some more stuff, don't want to do a series of small transactions.

I was holding out with my final payment to see if the whites would make it or not. Is it ok to wait for the conclusion of the whites before paying the last bit (which is pretty much only for whites)?
Posted: 14 Jan 2014, 22:15
by 7bit
Yes, because we have enough money to let them make the tools and don't need to pay anything else until shortly before they can start the production.
It is currently also not necessary to pay small amounts, because some prices might go down (especially once the white stuff reached the MOQ border).

How far we are from the whites moq?

I still have to write the script to do that calculation.

Scandinavians, Austrians, Czechs, Swiss, Germans, and everyone else: Order your lovely COMMA/GREY today!
You know you want it but were just too cheap to order it so far!

White stuff is at 57%. When we are significantly above 100%, prices for the white stuff can start to lower.
Don't ask me what that figure really represents. Doubling all of the otrders leads to 89%.
I calculate it by summing up all prices times orders of the kits in question and then compare to the costs my software thinks out in an obscure manner.

Re: Round 5 / Honey Sphericals / (57%) / taking orders!

Gotten a few invoices the last week(s), will everything that is in my order on tha last one appear in my mailbox, or is there kits that may have been removed without really telling me? (And no, I have not read the forum nor the wiki the last 2-3 weeks...)

[Group buy] Round 5 / Honey Sphericals / (57%) / taking orders!

New deadline is 28 February 2014.
Reason: SP will not start production until they have the row 1, 2 units tool.
In the meantime, just order more!

Goddamn BACKSPACE making everyone wait. See, this why HHKB style row 2 backspace is better!
Back to weighing up the white mods then. Wonder if there's enough time now to add [sound of 7bit screaming].

my August prediction is coming to reality.
on the bright side, I might order some white mod in Feb

The white stuff would not have made it, so everybody who is into white modifiers, should be glad today's deadline was just a soap bubble.

So white stuff like HONEY/ALPHAINT or HONEY/DE would not have made it? I'm just not sure if it would have been "only" the HONEY/TENKLESS/WHITE kit?
Posted: 15 Jan 2014, 12:31
by Muirium
All the white mods. The kits are just the way we buy them. Their production depends on the total number ordered, from all of the available options.
White alphas meanwhile were a certainty right from the start. They are the default colour (with grey mods) and were the only colour when this GB started! How times change.

So ordering also HONEY/TENKISOBASE/WHITE would be ethically correct?
Posted: 15 Jan 2014, 13:21
by Muirium
Ethically, if not morally. Depends on your budget!
Hopefully there will be enough orders for the white mods now. If not, no loss.

Then let's see - there's even february coming, so new month, fresh money. I would add the white TKL ISO kit, the grey one (i have it in my order already) is $69, the white one currently $139

yes....thats the right one!

includes 1.5 and 1.0 mods (and a few extras) and makes one way more flexible in choosing a KB to put these on.
the price will go down, once MOQ is reached.....i hope.

Why is it called HONEY/TENKISOBASE/WHITE?
It should be HONEY/TENKLESSISO/BASE/WHITE to not add further confusion!

Because it would be too long!
HONEY/TENKISOBASE/WHITE
HONEY/TENKLESSISO/BASE/WHITE
