Hi,
I would like to ask you about this keyboard - or mainly about the switch: What type of switch is it?
It is tactile, according to the label the keyboard (sorry, new one, uncleaned yet) should be NMB RT-101+ model, however it is not hi-tek space invader (as noted here wiki/NMB_RT-100/RT-8200_series) so probably it is another NMB type. I did not find it here (wiki/NMB_keyboards), so I am curious what type of switch is it. Thanks a lot.

I think I spent $30 or $40 on a similar non-RCA branded keyboard like this. If you do get this one, I'd be happy to buy it as I would prefer one with the RCA label on the front. It goes with an RCA Cosmac computer from the early 80's.

RCA also made videotex terminals (for connection to a television, example) that look the same from the front as the plain keyboard.

Thanks a lot. It has quite a good soft feeling, it is a little bit loose/wobbly and has zero mushiness. So it will be one of my favourite dome-type keyboards.

Well, I got lucky! This has NOS quality blues (from being dust-protected inside the portable setup and carrying bag), probably dyesubs and a nice compact layout with a regular DIN connector, so it can be used via USB easily...

Only thing I've ever seen that looks like that is an Acme (really) portable computer which used clicky white Alps switches. It also needed a custom PCI card to adapt the signal from the VGA socket on the regular graphics adapter into something the flat panel could make sense of. Which, of course, it was missing.

I have similar one, with French flag - mine is Silitek SK8801, dome with slider, quite a bad typing feeling although I have not cleaned it yet, average mx-mount keycaps.

Which model/brand this one might be? No label on the back, some keycaps are with clear plastic tops/covers /see detail photo/, keyboard is with card reader. Cherry MX-clear switches.

It is an IBM 3178 keyboard without the blue switch.

Did you get the whole unit, or just the keyboard? I seem to remember this stuff was at a recycler...

Excellent! If it is indeed an "Acme" it won't say anywhere on or in it. The only way I know what the one at work is is by virtue of having the bag it came in, with a thick sheaf of papers which turned out to be a printout of the manual. It is also through this sheaf that I learned of the graphics adapter-adapter necessary for the flat panel display. If yours has such a card please pass on to me details of it!

I got this numpad from flea market. Deskthority wiki has no entry about this type, the closest guess I managed to find was Fujitsu rubber dome with slider. wiki/Sun_Type_5

It is impossible to find a chink in the armor of this thing to disassembly and tinker around. They are much more quieter when lubed, scratchy when pressed off-center due to the 2 protruding prongs. Have anyone seen this before?

Can someone identify this keyboard/keycaps please. I'm interested in the keycaps mostly.
The keyboard look like some custom stuff but they keycaps are familiar. I saw them somewhere, not in red but in grey. It has a label T6093 and a serial 156/84.
I'm thinking about buying it. It's around 37 USD / 32 EUR in my local currency.

If I had to guess it's Siemens switches (square mount).

I'm here with a new question. Today I bought a Xerox 6020 memory writer. It has foam and foil keyboard assembly made by Brother. The PCB is very similar to the Minolta KY-1 PCB I saw on the wiki. The sliders have this extra fat cross mount. The switch plate is 1 mm with circular cutouts with 2 squares on each side. The keycaps are double and triple shots. I was browsing the wiki but I don't find more info. I have déjà vu again. I saw these mounts and the pads somewhere maybe it's in the wiki. My question: is this keycap mount available on any vintage mechanical switches or its just foam and foil.

That system actually looks quite a bit like Brother's DOME and foil system, often nicknamed Prototopre - although the mount is different.

Maybe it would fit Honeywell/Micro Switch?

Can it be something alps related? The keyboards upper part which have rubber buttons was manufactured by alps. The mount are a bit similar to the alps magnetic reed's cylindrical slider also. Thank you for helping me out again.
