Jpeg compression seems a lost art!
All over twice the average size, to keep dt snappy, can you please save the files with the best jpeg compression possible without noticeable quality loss?

Whom are you talking to?
108kb too small?
I saved with 90% quality.

Too large. I can reduce your image easily in Photoshop to 60KB, but I don't want to do that to an already compressed jpeg. Better done with the original.

I saved mine at about 60-70 in photoshop. Which does give a little quality drop, but you only notice it because you were just looking at the fine quality one. Most people wouldn't complain about the quality seein them in the header anew.

This in better light (its too blue) and I vote for it.

So how does this look? I just did some quick color edits to the original.

The shot is gret, but just the colors and image quality is bad.
Just re-take the shot in better light (warmer colors).
Please do not listen to webwit. He understands nothing about photography.

Well, you only added an extra 5kb for the nicer second option.
I think 60kb is close enough.

The image quality is bad because the camera is cheap. I'll need a better camera to take a better shot. I'll try adjusting the colours. Compgeke's adjustment is good, but I think the whites are a bit too reddish.

In Photoshop there is an option (or at least used to be) to "Save for web" which removes all EXIF data and other crap. This can save quite a lot of kBs.

Very nice, a500. But what is the keyboard in your previous picture? the one with the break key etc. ?

It's a DEC VT100 with unusual colours (never seen another one like it) that Parak kindly helped me get a couple years ago.

I think it would work better without the subtile Blaupunkt advertisement ....

In current headers are a few subtile advertisements.
How about this one:

Nice, but I liked how the other one was... chocolately. (I just don't see myself eating this keyboard.

)
