My Hotmail account was hacked into and spambotted the universe so it was closed. GH or any of the other numerous sites I use that dummy mail account for? I will never know.
What's ironic is my backup recovery email address was ******@msn.com. Screw that. Easier to just open up a new throwaway hotmail address.

No, can't be, because Round 3 had still more posts.
But maybe it is the mailbox of 7bit_R4 that caused the problem.

This would be stupid. The key caps are produced in the US and many participants of Round 4 are from outa space.

Any clue what's going on? It's down quite often.

Because of the domain name, it's regularly targeted for DDoS and SQL injections by hackers looking to bump their portfolio.

Because it runs vBulletin and is consistently hit by drive-by exploits.

It is down because of weekly maintenance.

And because it is already Monday morning in China, we know that they outsourced the maintenance to cut down costs.

Would be nice if he let us know about scheduled and intentional maintenance

Why should he tell people from a foreign website that his own website will crash in about every minute?
Also, it does not really look like maintenance. More like there was never any ... any .. what was the name of that forum?

This is horrible.
A lof of GB that are run on Geekhack are going to be compromised and I'm worried about the wooden Filco case GB that was open Yesterday that may be deleted and the PM as well
Every week happens the same.

GeekHack is online once more, with rollback and all. Seems that the latest backup was made on Friday.

I've recommended
Gothic860 to move his GB over here because he is located in Europe. Here things are really safe and he won't lose any info.
Have to be a pain in the ass to run your first GB and get your content deleted. I hope he has a back up of his thread and orders.

If you're referring to the thread I think you're referring to, the keyboard case he made looked absolutely amazing! Too bad he's only doing Filco Tenkeyless clones for now. I guess he needs to start somewhere though, so it's okay. Maybe he'll get into the whole split ergo stuff and want to make a case for that.

You should put all of it into the Deskthority wiki. It is much safer and more usable.
Also, you might win something in the Wiki contest!

I was busy backing up my current ones and chatting with moderators.
GH has the chattiest moderators of ANY forum I've ever been on. Do this. Don't do that. I'm back in High School ( which I suspect some of the mods there are still attending).
