I probably won't be able to pay before next saturday. Is that still ok?
Next saturday? 12 or 19 Jul?

Saturday the 12th. Would that be okay?

If not I'd have to make a lot of arrangements to pay earlier. I'd rather not do that, but I also don't want to miss out on this GB!

matt3o wrote: the plate I'm sure adds some kind of stability, but again, on a poker case the screws hold the PCB not the plate. So...

the real advantage of having a plate would be to be able to use costar stabs instead of the smooshy cherry, but these plates are not costar compatible.

anyway if tinnie has sold out the alu plates I can have some laser cut later (with costar compatibility).
Oh, I ordered 2 acrylic plates to try them out.. I prefer typing on a board with a plate. Well, you better go to make some alu ones :evilgeek:

Matt makes his own plates. Especially once his CNC machine is up and running.

Paid my invoice as well.

Question, will these take thru-hole diodes in addition to smds? I'm asking because the sample pic in OP has no holes for diodes.

No thru-holes diodes.

But the PCB has the SMD diodes soldered, right ?

Posted: 08 Jul 2014, 13:28
by YUIOP
Does it? Then it's a moot point.

I have a bunch of thru-holes but no smds. If it doesn't come with them pre-soldered, I will have to buy some.

last time I checked you only needed to add switches. thru-hole diodes are the easiest to solder btw and you can get 100 for 2 euros.

soldering smds however...

Nothing I should do with my $5 iron :P

If this doesn't have the SMD diodes already soldered, I might have to reconsider my order... but it does, right? I thought the point of this was that you only needed to add switches? :?

How much is the case gonna be?

And when do orders close?
tinnie wrote: SL89: Switches, stabs, keycaps, a case and a usb cable and you're good to go. Case for face u is not available. :)
Seems that all will come presoldered

Even the resistors for possible LEDs?

Posted: 08 Jul 2014, 15:17
by tinnie
Everything is soldered. You just need solder switches and LEDs (if possible) to make these fuckers work-
