sean4star wrote: Question: In the Icon Pro Modifier kit, what are the double up arrow key (1.25u and 1u) and the 3 layer (paper? servers?) key meant to be?
Alt GR (or simply a nice novelty key :) )
sean4star wrote:And one more question: If I order a kit can I remove it from my order later? i.e. if I wanted to just add all my maybe kits now but if they don't reach a decent price tier I can still remove them later.
yes technically you could contact SP directly and politely ask to remove one kit. Do that with a couple of days advance notice.

Matt3o, just wanted to leave a quick note saying that I am still super-excited for this kit. I think the legends look stellar, the process went smoothly, and I am completely happy with the kits provided. What a rich variety of sets there are! Particular props for including mono-legend; that is what clinched the deal for me.

yep
Well, then I might as well suggest a Cherry logo if it hasn't already. I am thinking something like this:
Cherry logo.png
Cherry logo.png (8.21 KiB) Viewed 4806 times
and then just print it in color even though it's on a grey keycap. The colors will be darker, but I think it'll look okay.
Regarding copyright and stuff like that, Cherry doesn't use the logo anymore, so we should be fine right?

Else a QRcode? but I don't know if the dye sub will be good enough.

I thought about the QRCode but I wouldn't really know what to place on it... and I think they are a little lame anyway. Neural connection or nothing :)

Cherry logo you say? mmmh, well let's put it in the "maybe" list.

Wrong, but it had been done before and we advertise Cherry so much, and buy a lot of switches from them, they should give us an OK.
:-)

ps: I hate QRcodes! They look ugly!

I prefer it to the spaceinvaders, but neither holds any sentimental value to me (QR versus spaceinvaders).

If SP don't want to print the Cherry logo then we might jut have to ask Cherry permission as you said, 7bit, I can't imagine they'd say no. I just think it's way more relevant than most other alternatives we can put in as the last key in the kit.

Space Invaders was before my time too. But even the Bitcoin symbol is better than one of those QRcodes. They are tacky and have no place on this elegant set.

it's incredible we can't find a nice nerdy novelty key :)

I'd really love the D&D one, that would be a first I think. There would be also the portal cube...

I suggested a Sun Microsystems super key, but apparently no one likes awesome things...

What can ya do?

Logo issue? Matt (generally) objects to those.

Of course I still love the bomb.

No, the Sun logo looks like this:

I figured its bold look was more in line with the set than most of the keys in the nerdom kit.
Anyway, I'm not sure how proper it is for me to even offer nerdom suggestions, as I don't plan on buying the kit even if this key got made, as none of the other keys tickle my fancy.

oh the Sun logo. I don't remember why we removed that. Copyright issues I guess?

I don't remember it ever getting any traction.
Was a mockup even made for it?

BTW: Where did you get the 'X' logo in the nerdom kit?
I realized this symbol is used by the company 'Heidenhain' in one of their programs.
Everyday I work with this program and as I first saw the logo in nerdom, I was wondering from where I might know it.

I still vote for the flask key, as i mentioned before in the round5 gb.
The green key would be so nice, but here I suggest only the legend.

If you look for any cool symbols, you could just look here btw..
http://fortawesome.github.io/Font-Awesome/icons/
it is a font made of icons, free for any usage. (got the flask from there)

:o

Should you ever come to a keyboard party, please bring some Heidenhain components with you.
:evilgeek:

Also: Seems their software runs under some Unix system.

I wonder where you guys who always strive for even smaller keyboards are going to put all these caps.
My guess: not on keyboards

I believe there are a couple of revisions of the choc mini... maybe the spacebar is not standard?

A (good) picture's worth a thousand words. Straight down on the keyboard from above, with decent lighting. Then we can see.

The beaker is a nice option. I'll find a place on my Tipro for those not in rotation on my little boards!

Indeed, meant to say that too. Make it as life size and stem centred as possible so we have accurate diagrams on our keys!

DT has a wiki, which sometimes includes useful information:

In this case not so useful. Which Noppoo? All of them? If it is 5.5 units, you are truly hosed. Best hope not!

there are still a couple of versions of the nooppo (different modifiers I seem to recall).

missing nerdom key suggestions so far
