Nice try
As my profile shows, I joined on 24 Mar 2011 and since then had 4758 posts, which amounts to 1.84 posts per day.

They just feel like 3.7 posts a day (i.e. twice my real post count) because I mostly quote the post I'm answering.
And, of course, because my posts usually are rather lengthy.

That's right, especially since we don't have any moderators like we used to with Muirium.

Here's an idea: Why not buy up these RD's and have lot_lizard create a Model F drop-in kit for it once the MF project comes back to life?

It all depends on if the project ever materializes. I don't think he was making Unsaver PCBs either.

With the option to base the MF on the standard SSK and full size model M layouts, why bother with the unsaver form factor?

The first one is from Keytronics from the telltale 3 and the label.

Yes but what is it exactly? Even though Keytronic is most well known for their Butterfly (foam and foil) and rubber domes, they did have other mechanical switches at one point.

Looks very Hall Effect. First keyboard I've seen that has 115 VAC going directly into it that otherwise does not also contain a computer.

Should be an early version of the (bad) low profile foam and foil. Also the keytronic magnetic reed is even older than the high profile f&f

Aha, you seem to be quite an expert on KT F&F. Which of these do you own personally?

I still have a lot more to come but maybe not this weekend. Anyone who buys from me directly instead of eBay gets the "friends and family" 10% off. 8-)

I wouldn't call myself an expert on them yet, as I haven't done much first hand research, instead I mostly just tried to make sense of what I read others say about them here on DT. I only own one Keytronic keyboard, which is from 1978, it is the same early PCB mounted type of high profile F&F with the square stems which you also have. The switch with integrated LED is even magnetic reed still.
edit: The shape of slider isn't quite the same on mine, it is hollow, so you can see the foam through the slider once the keycap is removed.

I don't either! It's cool, I've seen your posts your building a nice collection of vintage keyboards. Key Tronic F&F has a bad rep here for all the wrong reasons. The switches in that blue KB of mine in my link are actually pretty nice. Not my favourite but still nice. From what I gather later F&F is less so. Nice to see someone looking at old F&F for a change again !
