The Beamsprings....Get them if you can find them is all I gotta say.

There seriously needs to be a project to recreate Beamspring boards for the modern world just like the new Model F project.

I think it would feasibly be not that difficult; the important part (the beam spring mechanism - everything else probably can be modified without significant difference to the keyfeel) seems very much like it's just two pieces of metal that are cut out of sheet metal and bent.

All I will need is for someone to donate me a whole beamspring keyboard so I can exactly replicate the feel...

This was nearly identical to the one MrDuul bought for $800.

I really fail to see why, I've always found beam-springs to be overrated honestly. Sold mine pre-converted with an xwhatsit for like £450 I think. It was a 3278 as well and I hated it since the lack of keys made it really hard to use as my main board.

Makes me wonder if someone found a batch of them, and is artificially trying to drive the perception of their market value up. :tinfoil:
Could be two moneyed people really wanting them.

If you want a Beamspring: "Don't turn your back don't look away and don't blink." Someone could get lucky with a BIN especially if there are a lack of them on eBay for reference.

I wouldn't be surprised, I caught some guy trying to shill bid his own keyboard auction to over $1000 for a triumph adler
I'd take a kishsaver over a beamspring any day but a certain someone is hogging three of them

There are enough monied people to eat up the very small supply of beamsprings. As there are only a handful a year. It's kind of like the housing market in Manhattan NYC. Shouldn't be a surprise to anyone here as we have been hyping it for a long time.

While this is true I have learned to expect the unexpected. I seachred for a Beamspring for over two years when I found four last year from 20 - 250 Euros in price range. There is a senior DT member here who has 10+ Beamsprings of one type that will eventually be sold off here but that might take some time. The negative part is these crazy high ebay prices we are now seeing like the blue Alps hype last year, bad for all of us.

Guys seriously, the one that just sold is a well preserved looks like mint new Beamspring. It warrants the price tag. It's a collectors item that eventually in 15 years will be going for $5,000+ at auctions.

A piece of history is what it really is.

EDITED: Ok maybe 10-15 years...holy shit

It warrants a price tag of like £450 max and they're only going to be worth $5000 in a few years if retards carry on paying ridiculous prices for them.

Wouldn't say they are retarded...Some people got money to blow you know.

$800 is chump change to the 1%

Honestly from what I've seen those that are truly wealthy only stay wealthy by not purchasing things for ridiculous prices.

Well not really...I mean you do realize some people making thousands a day. Like I said, this is small potatoes.

They don't even feel it, hell their gourmet dinner that night was around that much, I would know because I have many millionaires on my moms side of the family... They spend $400 eating out at high end steak houses and that's food for one meal one night!
