The pics on that OmniKey are cleverly taken from such an angle and with such lighting that you can't tell if it's dirty or not, but here's to hoping ;) .

Clever is a stretch. Incompetency is much more likely. I do think I see some corrosion on the plate, but that I've dealt with that before and can deal with it again.

The externals aren't very yellowed, from what I can gather. Anything on there is likely due to multiple light sources. Some of my photos suffer from similar lighting conditions.

Just a word of warning to the winner of the most recent Monterey K9AX auction, the seller is a lying piece of shit.

I won it the second time it was listed and for some reason the seller would not send it to me. But instead of cancelling the order, which would be the logical step if a seller doesn't want to send something, the seller stalled and lied to me for weeks. Her stories include the post office damaging the shipping label and her father falling ill and dying, presumably to evoke sympathy and prolong the process even further. I only persisted because I really wanted the keyboard, but it was ultimately futile. Several days after the seller said she had shipped the keyboard (for the second time), I made my final request/threat and she refunded me to finally end the ordeal. She's nuts. I hope the new buyer has a better experience.

I'm more suspicious about the fact they didn't take any photos of the rear label? The part you can see looks different from the usual metallic northgate rear label. Ask the seller for a rear label photo! I'm curious what that 'Date:' field says.

Also - Chicony 5160 is up, but quite over-priced atm: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chicony-KB-5160 ... 2440692407

It will get here. I'll take photos. If it isn't as advertised I'll return it. God forbid they try to argue with me. I have a 100% win rate in eBay disputes. :evilgeek:

Gold label OmniKeys have paper labels AFAIK. Mine one does too.

Then all is well, maybe I've never actually seen the back of one lol. It just looked like a bigger label was removed due to the glue residue, and that one placed on top. Seems like everyone that was holding onto their blue alps boards have tossed them all on Ebay. I'm glad that most of the $300 + 'average' ones are simply not selling.

NIB SIIG MiniTouch with Monterey Blues, with 4 still available. Offered $75 and he accepted pretty quickly - you might be able to get em lower, but even at $75 I think it's pretty worth for anybody who likes compact layouts and wants to try out a nice clicky switch.

Damnit I don't have the money for that right now - quick, someone make a Canadian group buy and buy out the rest :P

A keyboard that is actually branded Clicker. I was almost certain that the eBay seller was making that up for search traffic...

These can be nice, although I prefer the Suntouch Jr model with white Alps. Even so, I cannot get accustomed to the layout, and it doesn't lend itself to the HHKB-esque remapping that I like to do. I sold the MiniTouch and the Ortek variant, and will probably sell the Suntouch Jr one of these days.

Haha that model M is cheap because of the 'rare phone-style adapter', as the seller put it.

Edit - 'Proto-topre' board (Haata has a photo album for this model): http://www.ebay.com/itm/Seiko-8620-Seik ... 1eb3d4514a

I called and he says it is in stock and fits the proper description, but he stopped replying to my emails when he discovered I wasn't a company. Maybe somebody else will have better luck :)
Just say your part of Intel. There's an Intel campus up in Portland, right?

Oh man! Here we go! Will the trend continue?
WTF?!

I was going to bid $112 at the last moment; yunno, go over the top. It was at $225 before I could submit my bid..

Who are these people that are happy to pay $200+ for an OG AT101?

Yeah...this is just ridiculous. It's salmon alps and PBT caps. I get the PBT...but salmon? salmon alps for that much money?! SALMON!?!?!?!

....salmon starts to not even sound like a word when you say it over and over..

edit| by this logic, any AEK or AEK II with salmon alps (which also has PBT caps) should be selling for hundreds of dollars...I guess people just don't like italic lettering.

The FCC ID says it's a Honeywell; googling that brings up an old GH thread with missing pictures and a dead eBay link, but the buyer does not seem especially happy with his purchase.

In good clean working condition, with cheap shipping, and an opportunity for a lower offer, that really isn't terrible.

Some people really like them.
