If you are using the MT3 profile, I would love to see a key (logo) for it. Even an adaptation of that JRRT symbol with MT3 as the letters would be insanely sexy. Something timeless and unthemed though that blended well with all themes would be ideal

no, this is not MT3 profile. The manufacturer is not massdrop

The classics are the Ring/scripture, the White Tree both of which you already have (great job on those, btw!) and the Eye of Mordor; Tolkien's signature symbol is great too if there's no conflict with copyright etc.
There are a few other cool things you could consider too - a hobbit door, the Two Towers, Gandalf's wizard hat, Galadriel's crown, Radagast's staff, the broken Narsil, Evenstar's pendant, Sauron's helmet, Bilbo's pipe, the Lonely Mountain, etc.
Also amongst my personal favourites would be the Key to Erebor and Tolkien's original sketch of Smaug.
I could probably come up with a bunch of other stuff but I don't even know how many you're planning on pursuing. Exciting times, either way!

I need to know what you want to do with print screen, pause, etc.
Now back to Sindarin.
why is the row 3 /\ instead of \| like the row 4 one for ISO UK ?
edit : actually should look exactly like the row 1 equivalent.

isnt it R3? please color it in modifier color tough, that looks way nicer.
I can never get the row numbers right, so I've highlighted the differenes between ANSI and ISO in the attached image. 4 keys are needed to convert ANSI to ISO, a 1.25u and a 1u to replace the left shift, and the ISO enter and a 1u to replace enter.
It would be amazing if all thos 4 keys was included, since the elvish (or russian) legends means that we don't really need all the other language specific keys (Æ, Ø, Å, ...) to cover most european keyboards.

All great suggestions thanks. Some I've already implemented (the dragon on enter key is so lovely!)

fixed, thanks

No it's not my MT3 profile (unfortunately). It's basically an SA clone, I still don't know how much it differs from the original, I'll let you know as soon as I get samples.

Russian already has all of them. I've added one missing key to the Elven one.

This is a bit off-topic, but are you having trouble with Massdrop regarding rights to the MT3 profile? I would be bummed if you end up with similar problems as with the Halo switches and the WhiteFox.

no issues whatsoever. it's just that a manufacturer contacted me and asked if I wanted to collaborate with them on a couple of keycap sets. Since I'm dick, I said let's do Russian and Elven!

Some extras
Durin Gate is probably too small, but I'll try to have it printed and how it comes out

Is there hope for 2u special keys (dragon, the key..)? Asking as most keys beside the 1u are not usable on ortho-boards..
whats about the Gandalf-hat-key?
about the kits in general: is a ergodox kit planned? I guess it wont be possible as likely the manufacturer has not appropriate molds..
Fingers crossed a ortho kit will happen than..

Yes Ergodox is a go for both sets.
PLEASE send your suggestions on the ergodox layout!

I agree, the Durin Gate might be a little too small and might end up looking too cluttered in a 1u, I wonder if it'd be a bit nicer in a 1.25 or even 1.5 - it's a great design.
The others look simply amazing though, I'm so happy with how Smaug looks in the enter key - perfect fit, really, but it also looks good in the bottom row mod size.
I'm surprised the mountain turned out as well as it did, I was a little wary it may look too "busy" but even in 1.25 it looks very clear in the mockup. Great!
This just keeps getting better, keep it up man

Why not get the Durin Gate as well as Snaug as 2u mods..?
Awesome that ergodox is gonna happen.
If it were "just english" I would either like all-blank or abstract symbols (semiotic style), as no way you will represent even a few different layouts with appropriate legends.
Now we are talking Russian (Sindarin) - so I do not care that much about what/were it is pringed, in the end its for aesthetics, where the (even sometimes inappropriate) legend doesnt play a role - tough it may help to identify keys easier (versus just blanks).
The biggest drawback are the symbols I spotted: eg + = or so (modifier symbols are fine). Can you change those (even if that makes up for duplicates) to either a text or a novelty?
Imho they break the look - and anyone who is not using that legend (+ = is ANSI eg) is a biz distracted..
so please go with blanks or text-modifers without language-specific symbols.
(I hope you got my point(s))

The Durin Gate should definitely be at home on an ISO Enter key, me thinks...

The only minor note - vertical ФУНК looks crammed in, it's okay to use shorter ФУН instead.
The opposite about УД - он 1.5u keys it's okay to use УДАЛ

i prefer GODSPEED style [] {} 1.5u side keys (not on center).
it's possible to use more meta keys in the center area then
please, consider adding/altering this keys
for ergodox - []' also is ЖЪЭ in russian йцукен layout, how can it look at ergodox?
i think using monolegend russian and ergodox leads to mixed style bcs of this keys (((

Nope, just bored at 11pm.
Is there any good data saying ergodox owners prefer having text modifiers? I personally don't like text mods because I reprogram my ergodox as I am sure others do as well.

the ergodox is a board where programming is utterly important - and layouts differ widly between users. Thats why for me either blanks or random symbols are nicer - one either knows where what is or can symbol-code whats where.
Having wrong legends sucks harder than no legend.
