Someone should add it to the wiki. *walks away silently*

*cough* *cough*...copyright. Of course a text page without the pictures would be fine. Not exactly the most informative wiki page though.

Tempest PC. Almost certainly has the shielding like an EMR XT keyboard does.

Just an entry on the model F page would be enough, similar how other XT variants are listed.

I made an extra wiki page for the actual IBM Model F XT since I felt like this keyboard was common enough to dedicate a page to it:

Possibly, but I know its hall effect.

Check it out - a couple of those beautiful Aydin Controls battleships are listed. One looks like a newer model, with low profile ITW magnetic valve switches: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Aydin-Controls- ... 1846136041

The other one is a magnetic reed switch and looks to be in pretty nice condition:

Edit: It appears the magnetic reed one has been listed on and off for a couple of years...recycled goods overprices much of their stuff perhaps.

Buttons...rulers...maybe even a phone...I have no idea what they are up to in Cyprus but it can't be good.

That seller has offered this telex Siemens on and off for about the last 24 months, except now the price is realistic. Too bad shipping is more than the keyboard itself. Very cool looking keyboard, usually Siemens are huge battleships.

I don't know what this is, but it's bloody gorgeous. Could the caps be MX compatible?

I don't think so, because the keycapstem will probably don't slide down into the mx switch housing.

Acer 6011, look pretty clean, at $30 atm. Should be VERY early pine white Alps (1989).

EDIT: maybe a goddamn link would be useful xD http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VINTAGE-Acer- ... Swo4pYaCxH

That's a Canadian seller with an ANSI model - so according to the wiki, it might actually be Blue Alps :) Wish I had more money right now!

I asked the seller if they were blue or white, but he/she was hesitant to remove a key cap. Is there a chance they are blue alps?

edit: nvm - thanks harsh

Haha np - I corrected my message to say 'might' instead of 'should', because I'm not sure the wiki has enough info to confirm for sure. I'd say there's a pretty good chance though.

1989 is cotemporary with blue Alps so it's not out of the question, no. Regardless they should be nice switches :) .

A good looking ('reverse Dolch' theme) higher quality rubber-dome with sliders board by BTC, nicer than its all black PS/2 version, but its DIN connector does not have a straight forward solution:

So once you've won it Gainsborough, pop a cap and take some pictures for us! I know we've both been looking for a blue alps board for a while - I won't be bidding on this one, I wish you luck!

Don't get it if you want blue Alps, I'd say the chances are very remote. It's just not 100% impossible.

Good call - listen to Chyros on this one, unless you want some nice older Pine whites too. I'm still a newb and don't want to be responsible for any bad decisions haha. Though if the bidding stays around the $30-$50 mark it's still a great deal.

Yeah I'll probably bid assuming it's not blue alps. I do love that case design though - it looks really cool. Thanks for the heads up as well, both of you!

:p I'm the one with the bid on it atm I have nothing to lose either way I have no alps boards.
Can't go very high on it though I just replaced the transmission in my car.. costly stuff!

I also asked him about taking a cap off and he just told me he was scared of breaking it and that a lot of people seemed interested in it.

Definitely a good idea. If they're white they're most certainly pine ones though - which are the best kind of whites. Provided they're clean (and they look like they might well be) they should be very nice switches regardless.

Yeah, that's what I concluded as well. These Apple boards yellow incredibly quickly so it might not have been long though, and it definitely looks clean.

I hope this will resurface in pictures here. Took me a lot of restraint not to jump on it.

I'm not sure I'm clear on this one - are you commenting that it's a Hall Effect keyboard? Or was it used in a particularly special application? The keyboard does look nice though, that's for sure.
