I believe the "official" phrase may be Random Ass Linear. ;)
Ah! a RAL! Most confusing, as RAL also refers to the RAL color system. ;)
Attractive board, though. Very nice keycaps.

Yes, along with Big Ass Enter, one of my favourite phrases from the keyboarding canon!

Don't let that put you off, though, RJ. The general rule is that the heftier and older a keyboard, the better is its feel. Even if, granted, it may be linear and a touch random assed…

Very much so! I'd be interested in a tear-down if you do get it.

Sealed model m, fair price for NIB
That's not a Model M.

Yeah, it's not :S

Strange they would declare NOS in the title, but in the description indicate that it might be NIB. At any rate, as others have noted, it's not an M.

I can't believe this guy trying to push this SSK as an industrial and thinking he can get almost $2k for it!

Yikes! Maybe his delusions extend to thinking his original "grey period" paintings will be treasured someday.

I wonder why he didn't offer it on Deskthority first.
He's a member, after all

He's on GH as well.
That paint job is terrible  Also the white barrel plate really sticks out in a bad way. I mean if he did a bolt mod (which apparently he did), why not paint the plate while you're at it?

Because no one here would buy a ruined casing like that anyway? :D

He will get some offers on ebay for it and decide who to sell it to based on that. Tha BIN price looks like a joke to me, too.

IBM P75 in the Netherlands: Alps plate spring switches, PBT keycaps. Some people don’t like the switches on these, but I actually quite like them. They have a pretty light feel, but a nice click, and they’re springy at the bottom. http://www.ebay.com/itm/331231782712

Intriguing…
The switch could be described in some ways as a simplified beam spring switch, as it uses a flat spring to generate tactility and actuate the contact mechanism. The design is simpler: the slider inverts a flat spring, which presses down on a horizontal switchplate. Upon release of the key, the flat spring inverts again, releasing the pressure on the switchplate and pushing the slider back up. A spring placed between the slider and the plate spring provides pretravel for the switch, and possibly assists the slider in returning to its rest position when released. The slider is compatible with the same keycaps as Alps SKCL/SKCM series switches.

The mechanism provides an action that is described as particularly pleasant compared with more common microswitches made by Alps, Cherry and others. However, there are some reports of the mechanism getting mushy with age.

£8.50 shipping to get it to me. Anyone interested in a proxy? I might pick one up myself…

UK internal shipping is still £8.50 per board if I make an offer for several, I see.

I meant the "portable", which is GBP 37 from Amsterdam to here.

The Dells might be interesting to some because of the diverse international layouts. I have one of the black AT102Ws though, and the lasering or pad printing or whatever it isn't too great.

Intriguing!

As for the Dell dude, he doubled the price of the light ANSI keyboards since yesterday, the tricky bugger.

wtf I made him an offer, he accepted (11GBP) and then he lowers price today to 9.99  :?

Nevertheless shipping cost keeps its price, so 30€ total to Spain.

Let's see.

Some sellers on eBay eh? Doubling the price because he gets a few enquiries. It's almost as sensible as the sellers who don't sell an item then relist it for substantially more...

I'm not following this thread so I hope this hasn't been posted yet...

These are sold in Belgium: Nice Model F bucking springs for a good price! 8-)
