The gaming keyboard is a shitty rubberdome with a cool and useful gaming layout. It's a Wolf King Warrior or somesuch nonsense, I think. I owned one at one point. :ugeek:

Finished my desktop build today, super happy with it! Also made an improvised laptop stand out of a cardboard box I had laying around, turned out to be the best stand I've used. Features a cable hideout :)

Just out of curiosity, what are the dimensions of that SSK?

It's almost as wide as fullsize filco.

Yes it's definitely called a Wolf King Warrior. No shame in that. £5 from a charity shop.

Also it is shitty, not programmable but a very useful layout for gaming.

The other is a Logitech 3D SpaceMouse early serial Magellan model. 99p from Ebay.
Solidly built and driver support is baked into Ubuntu. I use QJoyPad to allocate various functions to the buttons and 6-axis.

Built in a wardrobe as a sit/stand desk. It has blue doors and appears to be smaller on the outside...
That is well cool! I see you use the Nook tablets as displays? What software do you use for that?
They both run a vnc viewer and I create new X windows in Ubuntu for them to display using vncserver and x2x:
#nook HD+ half res otherwise unreadable
vncserver -geometry 640x900
sleep 5
x2x -east -to :2 &

will create a window that the Nook HD+ displays and is accessible from the main PC by moving the mouse/trackball to the "East" edge of its own screen.

I also went a bit mad at the weekend with a Raspberry Pi and a box of assorted electrical/aircraft gauges from eBay.

It's kind of morphed into a Battle of Britain Tardis for some reason.

Image

11 of those gauges actually work and are displaying useful temperature/load stats. There are also some flashing LEDs scattered about. I'm very impressed by just how much that Pi is capable of driving.

At some point I'm going to hook up the lovely tactile dials to use as volume/balance controls.

Not only one of the best keyboards ever, but the best mouse ever beside it. I am writhing with jealousy here, HAL. Where did you get your Unsaver, from Cindy's recent haul?

I got the Unsaver from ebay over a year ago. But never got around to fixing it.
