Anyone know what this board might be? It looks familiar, like a Chicony or something but I don't think that's it.

Space Invaders, probably black clicky ones, according to the wiki.
The AQ6/RT FCC ID prefix is a big giveaway for NMB/Hi-Tek boards.

Yes looks like it, that PN is Fujitsu and the keycaps look like FLS.
Remeber that these may NOT use PS/2...and I don't just mean the connector!
You can usually tell by the "tombstone" shaped top part of the keycaps,

I see - I thought it might be AT/XT with that DIN plug in the photo, but I guess not. Just got confirmation that my Tandem has already shipped. It's the global shipping program, which might add an extra day, but I still tend to get boards between 3-5 business days to Toronto from the US.
From what I've been told the only FLS model that's easy to convert is the Tandy 3000, which is XT. Fujitsu made 5-pin DIN plug boards like the Sanyo one I reviewed, but they have protocol weirdness.

That's what I gather also which is a shame, I will try to convert this but I don't have high hopes, it's got one of those strange DIN like connectors:

So then we must find their matching terminals! Or at least another similar Fujitsu terminal with the same protocol. No problem!

Looks like a Sejin SKM-1040, in which case it should be Futaba clickies.

That looks like one of those Keytronic RDs, E03601 I think?

Good call Emdude! I actually got a photo of the back label from this seller a while back cause I thought it looked like a model M or something.

In the meantime I found out. It`s dome over slider, with high quality keycaps though.

Hello,
I stumbled upon this old canon es10 typewriter and liked the feeling of typing on it (I would guess they are mechanical).
Anyone knows what sort of keyswitches it has ?
I hope to switch to a mechanical keyboard sooner or later, and based on this short experience, a key switch with a similar behaviour would be nice...
Regards
Mikael

Looks like Alps caps. Probably SKCL Greens or SKFLs.

Usually Canon typewriters are a good bet. Could also be SMK switches.

No, and no. I have seen that particular model before and it is dome with slider :0

After some more research I came to the same conclusion as Mike. Too bad there is no Wiki section for typewriters.

Being dome switches, they felt pretty nice compared to my previous cheap keyboards...
Anyway, Thanks for the help !

So, to be clear, you don't actually own this typewriter, and didn't get chance to remove a keycap?
I originally thought Alps integrated dome was mechanical when I first encountered it, due to its precise feel and metallic sound, but when I opened a switch it turned out to be dome. Alps SKEW series integrated dome was used in a Canon typewriter:

Naturally this won't go on the wiki either.

Just to clarify, the typewriter was not alps integrated dome, it was some odd DWS with a large white square slider and the keycap mount was a 2 fingered clip.

http://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/UFkAAOSw- ... -l1600.jpg - 5 pin DIN keyboard that still functions apparently. Anyone have any ideas? It looks very plain.

Nan Tan (NTC) KB-625X series — see [wiki]NTC KB-6251[/wiki]. Nice switch lottery.

Yes, as Daniel said it, it could have some nice switch options. Also, it's a fairly light/flimsy keyboard and most likely even has a plastic switch mounting plate. I have a 6251EA with pine white alps.

Thank you both - I'll grab a ticket to the lottery

Hi guys, first time posting. I wanted to ask what do you know about this keyboard.

I zloty is about 4,3 Euro, is it worth it?

Um .... well, it's Key Tronic, and most likely foam and foil (no reason for it to be anything else). Depends on the switch condition for a start (foam condition), and how much you like foam and foil.

Thanks, I'll pass on this one then.
