That is exactly the sort of thing I had in mind. I found a few sellers of the style there on the right and have an order in now. Looks good, is that the aluminum plate?

Ah you ordered already?...I could send you a couple at no cost...
That is the stainless one covered with an liberal coat of fingeprints!

Thanks for the offer! It was only like $2.99 for 20 of them shipped, so no great burden.

QFR case is probably the cheapest new case. It just needs one post cut to fit the Phantom plate. Maybe you can find a used case or board? I've seen used QFRs go for $50-60USD. Could also salvage switches and costar stabs from a full board.
I have a Phantom in a Filco case, and a QFR. Planning on putting a uTKL in the QFR though, and probably swapping from costar to Cherry.
For my second Phantom, I have a blue Vortex aluminum case I'm going to use. It'll be tricky but I've figured out how to get it in there mostly properly.

Just saw this QFR case for sale over on r/mechmarket:

To follow-on with Chzel's generous offer, I would be glad to pass out some of the 20 I ordered as well if there is anyone needing a few. Just a small part of the list of required pieces, but if it helps anyone...

Got the keyboard today in the mail, arrived a little curved but straightened out easily, thanks for sending it all the way here to the U.S., Chzel.

My plate arrived today, thanks chzel! It was very, very slightly bent, but that's no problem.

There is stained at F5 position. Are we clean it?

by chzel
That is probably smudging from me handling the plates, a bit of alcohol should clean it easily.

Just out of curiosity, what are the three holes below the function keys intended for? I have been browsing through as many pictures of phantom builds as I can and I haven't yet found a build that explains what those are for. Most simply cover them up with a case or leave them as they are.

The center one under F7 is for the screw that connects the top and bottom on the Filco case to pass through and the other two are for screws that secure the plate to the bottom.

Ahh, I had forgotten that the phantom plate was/is intended to go into a filco case. It was odd they would be different sizes if they were all intended for screws. I'll probably fill the holes with solder as my plan right now (changes every day though) is to not have a case above the plate.

Mine arrived yesterday. The stainless steel plate has a surprising amount of heft to it! Looks good. I'm working on the case now.

Are there any other UK orders? Mine seems to be stuck at the Heathrow distribution centre and has been there for the last 10 days.

I know 2 orders to have been delivered to the UK, and there are 2 pending (you and Stabilized).
I'll go to the Post Office tomorrow and I'll ask them if they can tell me anything, but maybe you could try with Royal Mail as well.
