Welcome! Nice customs, by the way... I'd love one but I really can't justify the $$$ for them. I almost traded some Cherry boards for a OTD 360c but the cash alternative was too much for me to turn down.

During that time I wasn't married and could spend money on all sorts of wild things. At least I never got into rare Cherry dyesubs or model Ms

Hah, I thought that the dyesubs were a package deal with the crazy Korean customs

17 keyboards and counting

. There's another 8 or so that I disassembled because they were in less than ideal condition.

I cleaned up keyboard storage yet again. A trip to Costco provided these shelves:

I can fit fourteen USPS board game boxes on a shelf. I'm still working on tidying up and may switch to smaller (but more expensive) ULINE boxes soon.

Also hanging out there are two of my terminals and the beloved keyboard spinner.

ah I like that vertical box solution. I might try that. Good idea.
Your beam spring won't fit though!

I only have a Model M which I use as my daily driver. It is not a collectible, modded or whatever.
There's some rubber dome lying in a cupboard in case I need to test something. Only time can tell if hanging around here will change my habits

its probably safe to assume hanging around here will.
Of course it did. It's three now, two Model M, one SSK...

Ain't that the truth! I should have brought my 5.5mm nut spinner with me from Scotland, because I can't get into my SSK with these chunky nutdrivers in the stores!

Spinner means salad drying apparatus here, not socket wrench.

You can tell what I've got on my mind! For a change, it ain't salad.
I've never heard them called spinners before either! I think Rolson (the manufacturer) was trying to distinguish themselves by
the tool's thinness. It certainly works perfectly for Model M opening, and every other recalcitrant nut I throw the set at. We also have nut drivers over here, typically big and useless for these tasks. If I had a lot of space to access the head, I'd use a spanner! (Translation: wrench.)

This poll is flawed. Where are the 50, 100, 200, 500 options?

Posted: 12 Feb 2016, 01:57
by clickykeyboards
600 pounds (270 kilos) of model M keyboards (approx).

Yeah, poll options should be:
0–0.5
1
2–3
4–7
8–15
16–31
32–63
64–127
128–255
256+

There's insufficient difference between 18 and 32 keyboards. We should use powers of 10 instead. The question is not how many boards, but how many digits?

Hey t!ng, your SA Retro TKL looks like the ISO brother of mine! Good taste.
I love the G80-5000. RGB mods and red escape are very classy. Still really need to get my hands on one of those...
What's that gigantic thing wearing Round 5? A HyperMacro or something?

Corsair something or other I'd guess.

I'm finished with MX (chattering)/Alps (chattering/wobble)/Topre (My KB-7953's laugh at you)

@scottc:
Yeah SA Retro is super nice - the prettiest SA caps so far for me.
The g805000 is one of my favorite layouts when it comes to long writing sessions - really awesome.
That gigantic keyboard, above the Filco, is a standard Corsair K95.
@HzFaq:
Good guess.
Yes, that SSK is one of the boards I will never let go =)
