Those late-generation FK-2001s are most likely clone switches, if I had to guess.

"Tanned" is such a more generous description than "yellowed" .....

The bids rose more than $400 in just the past hour!
(There's still nearly 5 days left too)

That was in the past 10 minutes, actually.
It was 202 or so when I last looked.

What makes this thing so valuable? I am a little confused.

Indeed, but just over an hour ago, it was a relatively measly $118.00, pretty incredible. I suppose it's closer to $500 in that case though.
i***k must realllly want it.

It's what appears to be a never-before-seen Cherry variant. It has mint doubleshots. It might have a case that is naturally black. It's NIB.
I think those are the factors that are driving the value.

by Redmaus
Oh that makes sense. I don't care about that kind of stuff but I guess the Cherry collectors will go after it like nothing else.
NIB is a really huge thing for collectors so that makes sense.

It’s a bidder with zero ebay feedbacks. Probably a troll kid having a laugh.

Redmaus: Note, if you want a quick answer, google is pretty good at this stuff:

Anyway, these are nice Honeywell rubberdome boards, similar to the IBM dome “unsavers”. Dome unsaver pics:

The bidding on that 1804 is quite hilarious! Must be trolls, bidding that much, this early. What's the fun in trolling ebay auctions?
There seems to have been a fair bit of trolled auctions recently, which makes me wonder; is there a trend in the trolling? Is it more severe on items posted here and/or on GH?

Cherry MX 5000 in Hungary ... 400 USD

He bumped it up from $349 to $399.
I wonder if he did that because I called him a joker.
Hey, you! You're a joker! You won't get any bids!
-----
I've seen the Videonics before. I think alienman82 on geekhack had one, but not NIB. There's nothing special about it aside from the (ugly) case, so I'd price check it at $200-ish.
The price is dumb. More shill bids. Who on Earth is doing those? Whoever they are, they're a massive douche and should stop it.

An Ortek battlecruiser down undah!
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ortek-MCK-142 ... SwqbZXE3Re
Not that cheap, but these often aren't, and they're damn awesome boards

. This is the first one I've ever seen with a cross nav (like many battlecruisers they usually come with a star nav).

Actually, speaking about battlecruisers:
FK-9000 in box. As with all FK-9000s it doesn't work :p . But you can restore these.

Tai-Hao APC, the 5539 type. Could be blue Alps or Aruz switches?

Alps LCM28. My LCM30 had dampened whites, but no idea what this is. Mine has the same chassis and is built quite well.
