Man, I would love to buy that but I have to get my Japanese stuff in first so that I can resell it to the community. I'm already about $1000 in the hole until people start buying from me.

Anyone here get it? I went to the listing and it said it already ended...one month from today. (obv an error)

Never heard of the FK-3001, but it looks like the calculator doesn't work. It looks like it might have pine Alps, too.
I really want a 5001/9000 with a working calculator.

This thread should be called "Cheap blue Alps keyboards you just missed & some other stuff".
What a downer!
Interesting that this seller seems to have a clue (mentioned the need for a converter) but still sold it cheap.
On the plus side, sellers will continue to check sold listings and believe that a Leading Edge DC-2014 is worth $100 shipped and eventually Redmaus will get one. Unless I get it first.

I got an FK-3000 a while ago. Early white Alps and crappy black keycaps, lasered or something - non doubleshot.

That surprises me. Focus kept doubleshots to very near the end of the mech era. The FK-9200 (rubberdome with ALPS-compatible sliders) I got a while ago had them, but some late 2001s have lasered caps.

Good deal? It sounds like a great a price for so many keyboards.

What what WHAT?!! Deskthority Keyboard Switch Try Bag - Mr. Interface
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Deskthority-K ... 1821688470
Buy or not? Why is this even for sale rather than being sent around between DT members?
EDIT: screw it, I'm buying it. I'll start a Try Bag Tour when I get it. These deserve to be on tour.

Definitely buy if you're interested! I have one of these back from when MrInterface sold them here. It's an invaluable reference. And the price is in the ballpark of what we paid back then.

Oh good. I wasn't sure how many of these were out there. For a second there I was worried there might only be a handful of complete sets out there and I didn't want to risk it leaving the community. Anyway, I'm still happy to send it on tour (starting in Sweden) if people are interested.

@Scarpia, count me in as interested for the tour.
Meanwhile, kids, this is what happens when you mess with your keyboards too much:

@Scapia: I'm also in for the tour (am able to receive and ship from germany, switzerland and italy

)
so I finally get a personal opinion on all those switches you guys speak about all the time here.. ghgh..
@alh....: yes I saw that one and almost fell off the chair!!

Doesn't hurt me

I mean, he surely had fun dyeing those key caps and painting the case. Also, he may have paid 50 dollars or less for it
And finally, this makes my SSK even more expensive. I'd sell it immediately if I had another keyboard that was as nice to type on. Recently tried a new Novatouch TKL - not a real competitor.

So a guy here in italy is selling all these keyboards
http://imgur.com/a/ySOHZ for 120 EUR. Two should be Model M/F with blocking springs (although quite modern...) the black one is def RD but what about the other four? Have you ever seen them? Sorry for the potato quality pics but the guy took them.

The IBM should be buckling spring, the three yellow ones look like foam and foil or rubber dome based on the keycaps.

Finally decided to remedy the AWFUL stock caps on my Magicforce 68. Thick PBT dye-subs from Korea for $62 shipped.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/281936489670
I confirmed their dye-sub nature by looking at Leopold's website.
http://www.leopold.co.kr/?doc=cart/list ... rt=&page=2
I'll post a photo of the old keycaps burning in my backyard when the new ones arrive.

Yes that's a pretty good deal for three XT's if they aren't in bad shape.
That clean looking Leading Edge went fast.

Saw that orihalcon restored one of these a while back. Definitely one of the most amazing beam springs I've seen.
This price though...
Doesn't look like it's in bad shape at all though.

@Chyros: But where's the numpad? A maximalist like you should want the bigger one.

Yes, we call it "Round 5" around here...
