Filco LEDs Mod

Didn't find anything too useful this far, so here it goes.

I want to swap my Filco LEDs on a Ninja TKL as part of a full mod (switches, HID liberation device, cable).
Does anyone know the specs (voltage, current) of the Filco blue LEDs which are in a Filco Ninja TKL with brown switches?
Also, if I need to swap out resistors, where are they located? They are problably SMD, aren't they?

Did someone already make this mod and can give me the specs of the LEDs he used?

I already have white LEDs (3.0-3.2V/20mA). Will those work?

Does bpiphany's controller support LEDs?

I think so.

Sorry I don't have the exact voltage and current specs, but I seem to remember someone saying they were 3.0v at 30mA. Your white LEDs should work fine. If you wanted to test it, with the case off, LEDs desoldered, but the controller in place, just plug it into the PC and touch the leads of the LED to the solder pads. You can see how bright they will be then.

I have used a few different LEDs on my Filcos. I think the purple/UV ones I bought were 2.0-2.2/20mA, and they worked fine, but dimly. They were dim on a Poker and a Race also, due mostly to the frequency of the color emitted. I tried blue ones from a Rosewill, which worked great, but were very bright.

The Filcos with blue LEDs have 10kΩ resistors in series. The resistors are 0603 SMDs located on the controller.

Red LEDs on Filco boards go in series with 510Ω resistors.

Those are the colours I know about. I think I may have come across some purplish LEDs as well with 10kΩ resistors as well.

Great, thanks guys!
I hope I don't have to desolder those SMDs on the HID :/
