notice the escape is slightly to the right

and the arrow cluster is slightly to the left

Overall its like 1mm over the total case so not a bid deal at all, just some people are a bit mental. I mean we've talked about the doubleshot patterns on the bottom of keycaps that can't be seen.

Small nick under the control key

I'd imagine that's quite lucky the rest of the case has scratches and little dings all over. Just be aware of that, not 100% perfection.

If I press the escape hard it doesn't bend. Control, no flex, arrow keys, no flex.

Vertical movement:
Pause/Break, it does flex, could maybe do with something to pack that out. You need to press pretty hard and I don't imagine its ever going to be an issue for me.

Lateral movement:
left to right no movement unless you put a lot of effort in.
up and down, left side of the board, nothing you'd snap a switch first.
right side of the board, if you hold the home cluster you can move it up and down, its more of a circular motion with the 5 key as the center of the circle.

Some plastic shims cut to size could resolve these issues but day to day I don't think anyone would complain about the case.

Until/if LZ / Lifezone / http://lzlife.tistory.com/ can come to our rescue or someone else, its as good as it gets right now.

If your importing get a friend in the USA to ship for you. Import tax and USA shipping nearly doubled the cost of this for me. Ended up the price of a Topre board :(

not bad.

Any pics how you mounted the PCB/plate inside the case?

My camera batteries died, on charge at the moment. I just plonked it in. No real effort or anything. When I put it in I was expecting the lack of standoffs to be a massive issue.

I expect that the USB cable maybe playing some part in this as rotation seems to be around the 5 key. So maybe having basically the usb teensy connection holding all the weight may not be a good thing long term...

Looks very nice, the perfect layout, 1.5 mods and 1x win with ISO.
But I seriously think that you should grab some keycaps for that board, something light.

8-)

HalfSaint will be along shortly to tell you off about these keycaps.

I'm looking for some cherry original keycaps to replace those win keys. Not happy with them, or I may put some squares of aluminium in there and make it mock winkeyless.

I could put the dyesubs on, but I'm waiting until everything's perfect before that. (I'm a nutter, I've still got the plastic on my fridge because the kitchen tiles are not complete... it's been there 2 years like that now...)

The case isn't as perfect a fit as a filco but its not far off and the material more than makes up for the slight shortcummings. If you can get it at the $150 price then its a no brainer really. Shipping and VAT kicked me square in the balls :(

I will pick one of these up sooner or later for my phantom/filco, dont know which will go in which case, I have a MKC alu case also. The MKC case is perfection, I love it.

Btw, the plate to this layout, where did you get it? I want to build my phantom in this layout too :D

The plate was part of the phantom project. Biniaris did them.

wish I'd gotten an MKC case, you should see what the fit is like in that :)

On Facebook Vortex says that standoffs to hold the pcb and feet are now available. New colors, also.

Cool hope we can get them direct from east to keep the price down. I'd have another.

I like the darker grey. Black also looks cool to me.
