Hey everyone,
I'm working on a mouse where you click by lifting your fingers. It's helped my arm pain and I'd like to see if others are interested. You can check it out on Indiegogo (similar to Kickstarter) at http://igg.me/p/173482?a=881199.
I'm happy answer any questions you have here in the forums, or there on the project page.
Thanks!
Dan

Was it hard getting used to it? I think I am quite hardwired to press something to activate it, especially if I m to switch between a keyboard where I press down to activate and a mouse where I have to do the opposite. The idea seems sound to me otherwise, perhaps someone with medical experience could chime in.

@Icarium, That's how I built the prototype
@damorgue, It wasn't bad. It took a week or 2 for me to really get used to it. It was definitely less painful than learning to type on a kinesis advantage keyboard [1] and waaaaay less difficult than learning dvorak.
