Hello Dt,

SOLD AGAIN

This keyboard was sold to someone a few months ago. Shit happened, and the spacebar now has a crack in it. Also one of the clips on the bottom snapped off so I welded it together with a soldering iron. Please see the images.

If you think you can fix this with acetone, this might be a chance for you to get a very cheap beamer, because I sawed the price in half!

800 Shipped - SOLD is about half of what I paid for it.

This keyboard is otherwise restored (text below will be from the old post)

My restoration included
* Taking apart the board and each switch
* Cleaning the switch housings, O rings, and stems
* Evaporusting the springs
* Installing an xwhatsit for QMK over USB
* Installing the solenoid driver so it also works over USB
* Installing rubber O rings in place of the original foam sandwiched between the switches and the underside of the plate.

Issues:
* One of the plastic/rubber/foam insert things that insert on the sides of the bottom of the plate (there are normally 2) is bent. It still fits, but it's a little twisted.
* This restoration could be improved with new springs from ebay. I think that would make the noise and feel of each switch more consistent, but this is up to you.
* There is mild corrosion on the bottom of the plate, but it 100% does not impact anything. The plate is still flat.

I am looking for (see above) for this keyboard, and I am located in the States.

Thanks for reading. My discord tag is Feeling_Gloomy#7669 if you want to reach me easier (I usually check discord more).

That FP12 key!

I don’t see an Xwhatsit in your pic (and the imgur link is indeed broken) but it would look like this:
Spoiler:

That Teensy on the side may be doing the work some other way I guess. Did Ellipse redesign the controller?

Good price for a restored Beamer here in 2022 in any case.

Low profile!

Not that there's any lack of space inside beamspring cases—the original IBM controller is much bigger than Xwhatsit's—but he either had cost or future projects in mind. The good thing about going modular, I guess, is that you could put something else in it. Like a nice!nano perhaps. Bluetooth and beamsprings, anyone? :P

(My 3276 is the only keyboard I have which never sits on my lap, for obvious reasons!)
