I'm trying to add a solenoid to my current Model F, but am having trouble sourcing a solenoid.
I know that Ellipse is making some, but that probably won't ship for a few months.
There are ones made for Arduino like https://www.ebay.com/itm/DC-5V-6V-Mini- ... 2737720692, but they look tiny and I'm concerned if it delivers enough kick. I also worry that they won't survive many actuations.
Anyone has experience with the solenoids sold on ebay?

That one is 5v, so it probably isn't the one that will will want to replace an IBM solenoid. Also its probably going to be the size of a dime.
I'm not sure where to get model F style solenoids, I need some as well. I might have to resort to making them myself

You have posted two solenoids without frames, and one with. Would you say that the frame affects the acoustic quality of the solenoids at all?kmnov2017 wrote: 06 Oct 2020, 12:00You dont need to make these yourselves.
