the q703c-aa looks quite like my g703b-ga, but it's layout is slightly different: now i've had this beauty for quite some time, but seeing how you guys successfully converted yours, i'd love to do the same.
but before i heat up my soldering iron, i want to make sure that i'm as prepared as possible..
so basically, i have to
- desolder all the pcb components (or just the voltage regulator, resistor and cap like in snack's post?)
- cut the traces between the lower two switch pins (why are there 4 of them?)
- form new rows by soldering diodes to one of the two pins (which one do i pick?)
- grab the end of each row and column and connect it to the teensy/promicro
- add resistors for the leds?
- break out the cigars and champagne
i'm afraid of touching it

i'd appreciate any advice before i go in..!
